Diyah Ayu Yogi Hartika, KEMAMPUAN NUMERASI SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DITINJAU DARI ADVERSITY QUOTIENT. Banda Aceh Fakultas KIP Pendidikan Matematika,2025

Abstrak diyah ayu yogi hartika (2025). kemampuan numerasi siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning ditinjau dari adversity quotient.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Diyah Ayu Yogi Hartika (2025). Students’ Numeracy Skills through the Implementation of the Problem Based Learning Model Viewed from the Perspective of Adversity Quotient. [Skripsi. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under direction of Dr. M. Ikhsan, M.Pd., and Cut Khairunnisak, S.Pd., M.Sc. The low numeracy ability of students is caused by many factors, one of which is a learning model that has not focused on numeracy mindset. One of the effective learning models used to improve students' numeracy ability is Problem Based Learning (PBL). One aspect that must be considered in students' mathematical problem-solving activities is the Adversity Quotient (AQ), which is a measure of individual response when faced with difficulties. This study aims to determine students' numeracy ability through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model and students' numeracy ability based on their Adversity Quotient. The approach used in this study is the Mixed Method with the Sequential Explanatory type. The data in this study were obtained through numeracy ability tests, distributing Adversity Response Profile (ARP) questionnaires, and interviews with selected subjects. The population of this study was all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh with sample selection through random sampling. In the quantitative stage, to see the differences in students' numeracy skills in the experimental class and the control class, a t-test was used at a significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of the study, it was found that students' numeracy skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model were better than students' numeracy skills through conventional learning. Furthermore, in the qualitative stage through interviews, it was found that subjects with higher AQ tend to show better numeracy skills. Keywords: Numeracy Skills, Problem Based Learning, Adversity Quotient.
