Prinsip-prinsip sopan santun dimaksudkan untuk menghormati perbedaan, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup dalam interaksi sosial. adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan prinsip-prinsip sopan santun pada mahasiswa fkip universitas syiah kuala dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini ialah seluruh mahasiswa aktif di fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan (fkip) universitas syiah kuala yang berjumlah 5193 mahasiswa. teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling yang menghasilkan 371 mahasiswa. metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala prinsip sopan santun yang terdiri dari 56 item pernyataan. berdasarkan hasil analisis secara deskriptif diperoleh sebagian besar mahasiswa (81%) memiliki tingat penerapan prinsip sopan santun pada kategori tinggi, sementara itu sebesar (11%) mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, kemudian pada kategori sangat tinggi (8%) dan pada kategori rendah sebesar (1%). analisis berdasarkan aspek menunjukkan prinsip kesepakatan memiliki nilai tertinggi (76%) menandakan mahasiswa mampu menunjukkan sikap kerja sama, kesabaran dan penghormatan terhadap kepentingan bersama. ini diikuti oleh prinsip kesimpatian (71%), yang mencerminkan sikap simpati, empati dan kepedulian terhadap orang lain, dan prinsip kerendahhatian (66%), yang menunjukkan kemampuan yang baik dalam mengakui kesalahan, menerima masukan dan mengapresiasi orang lain. dilihat dari hasil analisis ini bahwasanya penerapan prinsip-prinsip sopan santun di kalangan mahasiswa berada pada tingkat yang baik dan sudah optimal.



Abstract

The principles of good manners are meant to respect differences, and improve the quality of life in social interactions. The purpose of this research is to find out how the application of the principles of good manners on the students of FETT Syiah Kuala University by using descriptive method. The population in this study is all active students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FETT) of Syiah Kuala University using descriptive method. University of Syiah Kuala which amounted to 5193 students. 5193 students. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique which resulted in 371 students. Data collection method The data collection method uses the courtesy principle scale which consists of 56 statement items. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it is obtained that most students (81%) have a level of application of the principle of courtesy in the high category, while (11%) of students are in the medium category, then in the very high category (8%) and very high category (8%). in the very high category (8%) and in the low category (1%).
