Rendahnya nilai siswa disebabkan adanya proses pembelajaran yang hanya berjalan satu arah. hanya guru yang aktif dalam pembelajaran efeknya banyak siswa yang merasa bosan dan kurang memperhatikan apa yang dijelaskan oleh guru yang berakibat rendahnya pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa. oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya upaya dari penelitian yang membantu mengatasi masalah yang dialami siswa. salah satu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang juga berorientasi pada siswa agar pemahaman siswa meningkat. salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar serta meningkatkan pemahaman siswa adalah dengan menggunakan model conceptual understanding procedures. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran conseptual understanding prosedures berbantuan media handout terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas x sma negeri 1 lhoong aceh besar. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre- eksperimental design dengan desain one-group pre test-post test. populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas x sma negeri 1 lhoong aceh besar yang berjumlah 125 peserta didik dengan pengambilan sampel 1 kelas (kelas eksperimen) melalui teknik purposive sampling dari 4 kelas yang tersedia. sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas x-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen. pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat dikemukakan bahwa hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 10,74 > ttabel = 1,671 yang berarti ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran conseptual understanding prosedures berbantuan media handout terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas x sma negeri 1 lhoong. kata kunci: model conseptual understanding prosedures, media handout, hasil belajar

The low student grades are caused by a one-way learning process. Only the teacher is active in the learning process, resulting in many students feeling bored and not paying attention to what the teacher explains, which leads to low understanding and learning outcomes for the students. Therefore, there is a need for research efforts that help address the problems experienced by students. One way is to use a learning model that is also student-oriented to improve students' understanding. One of the learning models that can be applied to improve learning outcomes and enhance student understanding is the Conceptual Understanding Procedures model. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the conceptual understanding procedures learning model assisted by handout media on the geography learning outcomes of Class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong Aceh Besar. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The population in this study consists of all 125 students in the 10th grade at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong Aceh Besar, with a sample of 1 class (experimental class) selected through purposive sampling from the 4 available classes. The sample in this study is class X-1 as the experimental class. Data collection in this study used tests and documentation. Then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be stated that the hypothesis test results obtained thitung = 10,74 > ttabel = 1,671, which means Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the application of the conceptual understanding procedures learning model assisted by handout media on the geography learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong.
