Abstrak pendahuluan: mrsa adalah staphylococcus aureus yang resisten terhadap penisilin, streptomisin, tetrasiklin, eritromisin dan sebagian besar antibiotik dalam keluarga β laktam. jintan hitam (nigella sativa) atau habbatussauda dalam kitab hadist imam bukhari dan muslim di sebutkan sesungguhnya di dalam habbatussauda (jintan hitam) terdapat penyembuh bagi segala macam penyakit kecuali kematian. hadits ini menjelaskan manfaat jintan hitam yakni menyembuhkan segala penyakit termasuk didalamnya dapat menyembuhkan infeksi. metodologi: penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental dengan teknik disc diffusion untuk melihat uji efektivitas ekstrak biji jintan hitam (nigella sativa) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri mrsa. sampel penelitian yaitu ekstrak jintan hitam (nigella sativa) konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%, kontrol negatif dan kontrol positif yang dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan. hasil: pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa ekstrak jintan hitam dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri mrsa dalam berbagai konsentrasi. rata rata zona hambat disetiap konsentrasi pada penelitian ini secara berurutan dari 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, dan 100% adalah 11.49 mm, 12.73 mm, 13.44 mm, 11.42 mm, 11.81 mm, 12.10 mm, 15.24 mm, 15.37 mm, 15.20 mm dan 16.48. kesimpulan: berdasarkan hasil uji one way anova didapatkan nilai p



Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureusb ) is a type of Staphylococcus aureus that is resistant to penicillin, streptomycin, tetracycline, erythromycin and most antibiotics in the β lactam family. Black cumin (Nigella sativa) or Habbatussauda is mentioned in the hadith of Imam Bukhari and Muslim is mentioned. Indeed, in black cumin (black cumin) there is a cure for all kinds of diseases except death. This hadith explains the benefits of black cumin, namely curing all diseases, including its potential to treat various diseases, including infection. Methodology: This study employed an experimental design using the disc diffusion technique to evaluate the effectiveness of black cumin seed extract (Nigella sativa) on the growth of MRSA bacteria. The research samples included black cumin extract (Nigella sativa) concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%, negative control and positive control carried out 3 times repetition. Results: The study found that black cumin extract could inhibit the growth of MRSA bacteria at various concentrations. The average inhibition zones at at each concentration in this study sequentially from 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 100% is 11.49 mm, 12.73 mm, 13.44mm, 11.42mm, 11.81mm, 12.10mm, 15.24 mm, 15.37 mm, 15.20 mm and 16.48.
