Hiperurisemia merupakan keadaan dimana kadar asam urat dalam darah meningkat dan dapat menimbulkan penyakit gout arthritis akibat pengendapan kristal monosodium urat di sendi. kristal monosodium urat yang menumpuk pada sendi akan membentuk tophi, yaitu benjolan di bawah kulit yang berisi kristal monosodium urat. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut (hydnophytum formicarum) terhadap gambaran roentgenography tophi pada tikus putih (rattus norvegicus) hiperurisemia. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) yang terdiri dari kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan, yaitu kelompok kontrol normal yang diberi pakan standar, kelompok dengan induksi tinggi purin tanpa terapi, kelompok dengan terapi allopurinol dengan dosis 0.009 mg/g bb (berat badan), dan tiga kelompok dengan terapi ekstrak umbi hydnophytum formicarum dengan dosis bertingkat, yaitu 100, 150 dan 200 mg/kg bb. hasil penelitian dengan analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut selama 14 hari berpengaruh terhadap gambaran roentgenography tophi tikus putih jantan pada bagian carpal dan metacarpal dibandingkan kelompok kontrol tanpa terapi. pemeriksaan roentgenography tophi pada bagian carpal dan metacarpal tikus putih jantan dengan menggunakan mesin x-ray, mengindikasikan terjadinya perubahan densitas pada kelompok terapi ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut dengan dosis tertinggi, yaitu 200 mg/kg bb. kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, yaitu pemberian ekstrak umbi hydnophytum formicarum berpengaruh terhadap gambaran roentgenography tophi tikus putih jantan hiperurisemia. kata kunci: asam urat, gout arthritis, hiperurisemia, hydnophytum formicarum, tophi

Hyperuricemia is a condition in which uric acid levels in the blood increase and can cause gout arthritis due to the deposition of monosodium urate crystals in the joints. Monosodium urate crystals that accumulate in the joints will form tophi, which is a lump under the skin that contains monosodium urate crystals. This study aims to analyze the effect of administration of anthill plant tuber extract (Hydnophytum formicarum) on the roentgenography of tophi in hyperuricemia white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This study used a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of a control group and treatment, namely a normal control group fed standard feed, a group with high purine induction without therapy, a group with allopurinol therapy at a dose of 0.009 mg/g bb (body weight), and three groups with Hydnophytum formicarum tuber extract therapy with tiered doses, namely 100, 150 and 200 mg/kg bb. The results of the study with descriptive analysis showed that the administration of anthill plant tuber extract for 14 days had an effect on the roentgenography of tophi in the carpal and metacarpal parts compared to the control group without therapy. Examination of tophi roentgenography in the carpal and metacarpal parts of male white rats using an x-ray machine, indicated a change in density in the anthill plant tuber extract therapy group with the highest dose, which was 200 mg/kg bb. The conclusion of this study is that the administration of Hydnophytum formicarum tuber extract has an effect on the roentgenography of tophi in hyperurichemic male white rats.
