Garangan jawa (herpestes javanicus) merupakan mamalia karnivora kecil dari famili herpestidae yang berperan penting dalam ekosistem sebagai pengendali hama. pemeriksaan profil darah diperlukan untuk mendukung pemahaman terhadap kondisi fisiologis dan kesehatan spesies ini. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profil darah garangan jawa di aceh besar serta membandingkan parameter darah antara individu jantan dan betina. analisis profil darah garangan jawa dilakukan secara konvensional. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah eritrosit (rbc) sebesar 6,67 × 10⁶/mm³ ± 4,68, hemoglobin (hb) 11,35 g/dl ± 3,84, hematokrit (pcv) 30,47% ± 12,51, mean corpuscular volume (mcv) 41,85 fl ± 34,72, mean corpuscular hemoglobin (mch) 23,37 pg ± 32,78, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (mchc) 38,98% ± 19,19, dan jumlah leukosit (wbc) 16,22 × 10³/mm³ ± 8,45. diferensial leukosit terdiri dari limfosit 25,00% ± 12,52, monosit 10,38% ± 5,86, eosinofil 9,69% ± 7,23, neutrofil 42,38% ± 12,56, dan basofil 12,54% ± 7,51. pada differesial leukosit yaitu persentase leukosit dan monosit (p < 0,01) antara garangan jawa jantan dan betina menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,5). dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil darah garangan jawa di aceh besar bervariasi, dengan perbedaan signifikan antara jantan dan betina khususnya pada diferensial leukosit yaitu persentase leukosit dan monosit. kata kunci : garangan jawa (herpestes javanicus), jenis kelamin, profil darah.

Abstract
The Javan mongoose (Herpestes javanicus) is a small carnivorous mammal from the Herpestidae family that plays a crucial role in ecosystem balance as a natural pest controller. Hematological profile assessment is essential for understanding the physiological status and overall health of this species. This study aimed to analyze the hematological parameters of Javan mongooses in Aceh Besar and compare blood profiles between male and female individuals. Hematological profile analysis of Javan mongoose was done by conventional method. The results indicated that the red blood cell (RBC) count was 6,67 × 10⁶/mm³ ± 4,68, hemoglobin (Hb) concentration was 11,35 g/dL ± 3,84, hematocrit (PCV) was 30,47% ± 12,51, mean corpuscular volume (MCV) was 41,85 fL ± 34,72, mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) was 23,37 pg ± 32,78, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) was 38,98 ± 19,19%, and white blood cell (WBC) count was 16,22 × 10³/mm³ ± 8,45. The differential leukocyte count comprised lymphocytes (25,00% ± 12,52), monocytes (10,38% ± 5,86), eosinophils (9,69% ± 7,23), neutrophils (42,38% ± 12,56), and basophils (12,54% ± 7,51). In differential leukocytes, namely the percentage of leukocytes and monocytes (p < 0.01) between male and female Javan mongoose showed significant differences (p < 0.5). These findings suggest that the blood profile of Javan mongooses in Aceh Besar exhibits notable variation, with significant distinctions between males and females, especially in the leukocyte differential, including leukocyte and monocyte percentages.
