Hiperurisemia merupakan keadaan meningkatnya kadar senyawa asam urat di dalam darah, yang dapat memicu pembentukan kristal msu pada persendian. penumpukan kristal msu pada sendi akan menyebabkan terbentuknya tophi, yaitu benjolan di bawah kulit yang berisi kristal msu. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efek ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut (hydnophytum formicarum) aceh terhadap gambaran kristal monosodium urat (msu) dan ukuran diameter tophi pada tikus putih (rattus norvegicus) hiperurisemia. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan, melibatkan enam kelompok tikus, yaitu kelompok kontrol normal yang diberi pakan standar, kelompok induksi purin tinggi tanpa terapi, kelompok terapi allopurinol dengan dosis 0,009 mg/g berat badan (bb), dan tiga kelompok terapi ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut dengan dosis 100, 150, dan 200 mg/kg (bb). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut selama 14 hari berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kristal monosodium urat dan ukuran diameter tophi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol tanpa terapi. analisis statistik anova dan uji duncan mengonfirmasi bahwa pemberian ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut berpengaruh nyata (p

Hyperuricemia is a condition of increased levels of uric acid compounds in the blood, which can trigger the formation of MSU crystals in the joints. The accumulation of MSU crystals in the joints will cause the formation of tophi, which are bumps under the skin containing MSU crystals. This study aims to evaluate the effect of Acehnese anthill (Hydnophytum formicarum) tuber extract on the picture of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals and tophi diameter size in hyperuricemia white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This study used a completely randomised design (CRD) with control and treatment groups, involving six groups of rats, namely the normal control group given standard feed, the high purine induction group without therapy, the allopurinol therapy group at a dose of 0.009 mg/g body weight (bw), and three groups of anthill plant tuber extract therapy at doses of 100, 150, and 200 mg/kg (bw). The results showed that the administration of anthill plant tuber extract for 14 days had an effect on reducing monosodium urate crystals and tophi diameter size significantly compared to the control group without therapy.
