CUT SARI NANDA SALSABILA, METODE TAGUCHI-PRINCIPAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS (PCA) DALAM ANALISIS KUALITAS PRODUK MINYAK WANGI (STUDI KASUS: INDUSTRI MINYEUK PRET, ACEH). Banda Aceh Fakultas MIPA Matematika,

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of fragrant oil products in Minyeuk Pret Industry, Aceh, through the application of Taguchi method and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The Taguchi method is used to identify the optimal combination of factors that affect product quality, such as filling speed, machine temperature, bottle cap tightness, packaging material thickness, and process treatment. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was applied to address the multiresponse problem, which includes incompatibilities in packaging and aroma resistance. This study used an experimental design with an orthogonal matrix L8(2^7) to optimize the combination of factors and levels, and calculate the relative contribution of each factor to product quality. Data analysis was conducted using Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The research results show that the Taguchi-PCA method is effective in identifying significant factors, improving product quality, and minimizing defective products, thus making a significant contribution to the efficiency of the production process and quality consistency. Keywords: Taguchi method, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), product quality, multiresponse, fragrant oil, Minyeuk Pret.
