Salah satu rendahnya daya serap siswa dipengaruhi beberapa faktor salah satunya kesalahan dalam mempresentasikan pemahaman dan pengetahuannya. salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis adalah model pembelajaran think talk write. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis melalui model pembelajaran think talk write pada materi pythagoras di kelas viii smpn 2 sigli. penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketan kuantitatif dengan bentuk penelitian adalah pre-eksperimental design dengan jenis yang dipilih one grup pretest posttest. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas viii smpn 2 sigli yang terdiri dari enam kelas. sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas viii e yang terdirir dari 26 siswa dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan representasi matematis yaitu tes pretest dan tes posttest. teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t (t-test) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa t-hitung sebesar 7,51 dan nilai t-tabel sebesar 1,71 sehingga t_hitung≥t_tabel yang artinya h_1 diterima dan h_0 ditolak. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis melalui model think talk write pada materi pythagoras di kelas viii smpn 2 sigli.

One of the students' low absorption is influenced by several factors, one of which is mistakes in presenting their understanding and knowledge. One of the learning models that can be applied to improve mathematical representation skills is the Think Talk Write learning model. This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematical representation ability through the Think Talk Write learning model on Pythagorean material in grade VIII of SMPN 2 Sigli. This study uses a quantitative approach with the form of research is a pre-experimental design with the type chosen by one group of pretest posttest. The population in this study is all grade VIII of SMPN 2 Sigli which consists of six classes. The sample in this study is class VIII E students who are composed of 26 students with sampling using random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using mathematical representation ability test instruments, namely pretest and posttest tests. The analysis technique used is a t-test with a significance level of 5%. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the t_values was 7.51 and the t_tabel was 1.71, so it was t_values≥t_tabel, which means that H_1 accepted and H_0 rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in mathematical representation ability through the Think Talk Write model in Pythagorean material in grade VIII SMPN 2 Sigli.
