Mahasiswa yang menempuh pendidikan di perguruan tinggi di luar daerahnya disebut dengan mahasiswa perantauan. mahasiswa merantau dituntut memiliki kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang tinggi dalam menjalani kehidupan selama berada di perguruan tinggi, salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi tinggi rendahnya penyesuaian diri individu adalah kelekatannya orang tua dan anak. adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan orang tua yaitu kelekatan ibu dan kelekatan ayah dengan dimensi-dimensi penyesuaian diri yaitu educational functioning, relational functioning, dan psychological functionig pada mahasiswa tahun pertama yang merantau. sebanyak 322 mahasiswa tahun pertama yang merantau di universitas syiah kuala terlibat sebagai sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik disproportionate stratified random sampling dan berpartisipasi dalam pengisian instrumen the college adjustment questionnaire (caq) dan inventory of parent and peer attachment-revised (ippa-r). uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pearson product moment correlation, hasilnya menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi r=0.001 (p

Students who pursue their academic studies at institutions of higher education located beyond their place of origin are designated as overseas students. Individuals who have relocated for the purpose of pursuing their education are expected to possess the capacity for high self-adjustment in order to navigate and adapt to the demands of university life. The quality of this adjustment is influenced by numerous factors, including the attachment between parents and their children. The objective of this study was to ascertain the relationship between parental attachment, specifically maternal and paternal attachment, and the dimensions of self-adjustment, including educational functioning, relational functioning, and psychological functioning, among first-year students who migrate. A total of 322 first-year students who migrated at Syiah Kuala University participated in the study. These students were selected using a disproportionate stratified random sampling technique and were asked to complete The College Adjustment Questionnaire (CAQ) and the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) instruments.
