[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dr.dra. sakdiyah, m.si. dan dra.musfiana mm. minat membaca adalah suatu perhatian yang kuat dan mendalam disertai dengan perasaan senang terhadap kegiatan membaca sehingga dapat mengarahkan seseorang untuk membaca dengan kemauannya sendiri tanpa dorongan dari luar. salah satu faktor yang akan mempengaruhi minat membaca adalah pojok baca. pojok baca adalah pemanfaatan sudut ruang kelas sebagai tempat koleksi buku yang berfungsi sebagai sumber pembelajaran. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh pojok baca terhadap minat baca siswa kelas vii di smp n 3 banda aceh. pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas vii yang berjumlah 9 kelas dengan total siswa kelas vii sebanyak 294 orang di smp n 3 banda aceh. sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas vii-1 yang berjumlah 34 sisiwa. adapun teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket. teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, analisis korelasi,analisis regresi linear sederhana, uji determinan (r2) dan uji hipotesis. hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pojok baca berpengaruh terhadap minat membaca siswa, hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai t-hitung > t- tabel yaitu nilai t-tabel sebesar 1,699 sedangkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 4.381, kemudian diperoleh nilai r sebesar 0,631 atau 63,1% termasuk dengan kategori sedang, r2 sebesar 0.398 atau 39.8% termasuk kategori rendah. dan nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,00 < 0.05. maka hasil yang didapatkan ha diterima dan ho ditolak yang berarti pojok baca berpengaruh terhadap minat membaca siswa kelas vii di smp n 3 banda aceh. kata kunci: pojok baca, minat membaca siswa

ABSTRACT Fani Dian Islami, (2024). The Influence of Reading Corner on Reading Interest of Grade VII Students at SMP N 3 Banda Aceh. [Thesis. Syiah Kuala University]. Under the guidance of Dr. Dra. Sakdiyah, M.Si. and Dra.Musfiana MM. Interest in reading is a strong and deep concern accompanied by a feeling of pleasure in reading activities so that it can direct a person to read of his own volition without external encouragement. One of the factors that will affect reading interest is the reading corner. The reading corner is the use of the corner of the classroom as a place for a collection of books that function as a learning resource. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the reading corner on the reading interest of grade VII students at SMP N 3 Banda Aceh. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The population of this study is all grade VII students totaling 9 classes with a total of 294 grade VII students at SMP N 3 Banda Aceh. The sample of this study is class VII-1 which totals 34 students. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used normality test, linearity test, correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, determinant test (r2) and hypothesis test. The results of the study show that the reading corner has an effect on students' interest in reading, this can be seen from the t-count value > t-table, namely the t-table value of 1.699 while the t-count value is 4.381, then the r value of 0.631 or 63.1% is obtained including the medium category, r2 is 0.398 or 39.8% including the low category. and the significance value obtained is 0.00 < 0.05. So the results obtained by Ha are accepted and Ho are rejected, which means that the reading corner influences the reading interest of class VII students at SMP N 3 Banda Aceh.
