Abstrak kepribadian ekstrovert mengacu pada kecenderungan individu untuk bersifat terbuka, aktif, dan mudah berinteraksi dengan orang lain, sementara self-disclosure merujuk pada kemampuan individu untuk mengungkapkan informasi pribadi kepada orang lain secara sukarela. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepribadian ekstrovert dengan self-disclosure pada pengguna media sosial whatsapp di kota banda aceh. teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah social penetration theory. teori penetrasi sosial adalah hubungan yang tidak intim bergerak menjadi hubungan yang intim karena adanya keterbukan diri. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang melibatkan 100 responden pengguna whatsapp di kota banda aceh. berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi diperoleh bahwa kedua variabel tersebut berhubungan, karena nilai pearson correlation lebih besar dari nilai r tabel yakni 0,05. dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel bebas ekstrovert (x) memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan variabel terikat self-disclosure (y), karena memiliki nilai pearson correlation 0,667, begitupun dengan variabel terikat self-disclosure dengan nilai pearson correlation sebesar 0,667 yang juga memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan variabel bebas esktrovert (x). hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan tingkat sangat setuju pada dimensi kegiatan dalam variabel ekstrovert x sebesar 53,67% dan sangat tidak setuju tertinggi terletak pada dimensi tidak bertanggung jawab sebesar 16%. sedangkan pada variabel self-disclosure (y) sangat setuju terletak pada dimensi tujuan dan maksud sebesar 55,67%, dan sangat tidak setuju tertinggi terletak pada dimensi ukuran atau jumlah self-disclosure sebesar 6,67%. dalam penelitian, ditemukan bahwa tingkat sangat setuju dengan jumlah 27% dan setuju 37% dengan total 64% dimana responden memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 41% sangat setuju dan 35% setuju dengan total 76% pada responden dalam memperlihatkan tingkat self-disclosure yang cukup signifikan. kata kunci : kepribadian ekstrovert, self-disclosure, whatsapp, banda aceh.

ABSTRACT Extroverted personality refers to an individual's tendency to be open, active, and easily interact with others, while self-disclosure refers to an individual's ability to voluntarily disclose personal information to others. This study aims to determine the relationship between extroverted personality and self-disclosure in WhatsApp social media users in Banda Aceh City. The theory used in this study is Social Penetration Theory. The theory of social penetration is that an unintimate relationship moves into an intimate relationship due to the existence of self-openness. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques using a questionnaire involving 100 WhatsApp user respondents in Banda Aceh City. Based on the results of the correlation test, it was obtained that the two variables were related, because the Pearson correlation value was greater than the r value of the table, which was 0.05. It can be concluded that the extrovert-bound variable (X) has a strong relationship with the self-disclosure bound variable (Y), because it has a pearson correlation value of 0.667, as well as the self-disclosure bound variable with a pearson correlation value of 0.667 which also has a strong relationship with the extrovert-free variable (X). The results of this study also showed that the level of Strongly Agree on the Activity dimension in the Extrovert Variable X was 53.67% and the highest Strongly Disagree was located in the Irresponsible dimension of 16%. Meanwhile, in the self-disclosure variable (Y) Strongly Agree is located in the Objectives and Intent dimension of 55.67%, and the highest Strongly Disagree lies in the Size or Amount of self-disclosure dimension of 6.67%. In the study, it was found that the level of Strongly Agree with the number of 27% and Agree 37% with a total of 64% where the respondents have an extroverted personality In this study it shows that 41% Strongly Agree and 35% Agree with a total of 76% in the respondents in showing a significant level of Self-Disclosure.
