[skripsi.universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dra. fitriana, m.si dan agung rorhi prayudha, m.pd. mayoritas masyarakat aceh timur banyak yang tidak mengetahui motif-motif daerah aceh, terutama motif bungong geulima yang merupakan temuan baru, oleh karena itu pentingnya melestarikan dan memperkenalkan motif tersebut supaya masyarakat mengetahui adanya motif bungong geulima. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan menerapkan motif bungong geulima khas aceh timur pada jilbab dengan menggunakan teknik bordir juga memperkenalkan motif bungong geulima sebagai upaya pelestarian budaya aceh. penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen terapan sebagai bagian dari metode kualitatif. pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan eksperimen terapan. hasil penelitian telah mendesain tiga produk jilbab menggunakan motif bungong geulima dengan model desain dan warna yang berbeda. tanggapan informan terhadap pengembangan motif bungong geulima pada jilbab dengan teknik bordir sangat positif. informan cenderung menghargai adanya elemen budaya lokal pada produk fashion, serta kualitas estetika yang dihasilkan oleh teknik bordir. respon positif ini mengindikasikan potensi komersial dan daya tarik produk di pasar, sekaligus menunjukkan potensi pengembangan industri yang menguntungkan dan bermanfaat dalam melestarikan serta memperkenalkan budaya aceh kepada masyarakat luas. kata kunci: motif aceh timur, jilbab, bordir.

Syahya Yulia (2024), Application of the Bungong Geulima Motif Typical of East Aceh on the Hijab Using Embroidery Techniques. [Thesis. Syiah Kuala University]. Under the guidance of Dra. Fitriana, M.Si and Agung Rorhi Prayudha, M.Pd. The majority of the people of East Aceh do not know the motifs of the Aceh region, especially the Bungong Geulima motif which is a new discovery, therefore it is important to preserve and introduce this motif so that people know about the existence of the Bungong Geulima motif. This research aims to design and apply the Bungong Geulima motif typical of East Aceh on the hijab using embroidery techniques and also introduce the Bungong Geulima motif as an effort to preserve Acehnese culture. The research uses a qualitative approach with applied experimental research methods as part of the qualitative method. Data collection through observation, documentation, interviews and applied experiments. The results of the research have designed three hijab products using the Bungong Geulima motif with different designs and colors. The informant's response to the development of the Bungong Geulima motif on the hijab using embroidery techniques was very positive. Informants tend to appreciate the presence of local cultural elements in fashion products, as well as the aesthetic quality produced by embroidery techniques. This positive response indicates the commercial potential and attractiveness of the product in the market, as well as showing the potential for industrial development that is profitable and useful in preserving and introducing Acehnese culture to the wider community.
