Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa merupakan fenomena yang masih sering dijumpai dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. pembelajaran dengan media utama buku teks dilihat belum mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar. penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran e-magazine berbasis kearifan lokal pada materi mitigasi bencana alam untuk memvariasikan cara penyajian materi dari buku teks yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. penelitian berpedoman pada pendekatan penelitian research & development dengan model addie. subjek penelitian: guru geografi sman 1 meukek sebagai narasumber pengumpulan data observasi awal, subjek validasi media 2 ahli media, 2 ahli materi, 1 ahli bahasa serta subjek uji coba media siswa kelas xi ips 2 sman 1 meukek. pengumpulan data dengan instrumen pedoman wawancara, lembar validasi, instrumen tes (pre-test dan post-test) serta angket respon siswa. analisis data validasi ahli dan respon siswa dengan rumus persentase dan analisis data pemahaman siswa dengan rumus n-gain. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh persentase 94,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak. (2) hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh persentase 87,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak. (3) hasil validasi ahli bahasa diperoleh persentase 97,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak. (4) hasil tes siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa dengan 62% siswa berkategori gain tinggi dan 38% siswa berkategori gain sedang. (5) hasil respon siswa diperoleh persentase 85% dengan kriteria sangat baik. guru dapat menggunakan media pembelajaran e-magazine berbasis kearifan lokal pada materi mitigasi bencana alam karena media memperoleh kriteria sangat layak oleh para ahli, respon siswa sangat baik terhadap media dan peningkatan pemahaman siswa setelah belajar dengan media.

Abstract
Low student motivation to learn is a phenomenon that is often encountered in the classroom learning process. Learning with the main medium of textbooks is seen as not being able to increase learning motivation. The research aims to develop emagazine learning media based on local wisdom on natural disaster mitigation material to vary the way of presenting material from textbooks which is expected to increase student motivation and understanding. The research is guided by the Research & Development research approach with the ADDIE model. Research subjects: geography teacher at SMAN 1 Meukek as source for initial observation data collection, media validation subjects 2 media experts, 2 material experts, 1 language expert and media trial subjects for class XI IPS 2 students at SMAN 1 Meukek. Data collection using interview guide instruments, validation sheets, test instruments (pre-test and post-test) and student response questionnaires. Analysis of expert validation data and student responses using the percentage formula and analysis of student understanding data using the N-gain formula. The research results show that: (1) The validation results from media experts obtained a percentage of 94.5% with very feasible criteria. (2) The results of material expert validation obtained a percentage of 87.5% with very feasible criteria. (3) The validation results from language experts obtained a percentage of 97.5% with very appropriate criteria. (4) Student test results show an increase in student understanding with 62% of students in the high gain category and 38% of students in the medium gain category. (5) The results of student responses obtained a percentage of 85% with very good criteria. Teachers can use e-magazine learning media based on local wisdom in natural disaster mitigation material because the media has received very appropriate criteria from experts, students respond very well to the media and students' understanding increases after learning with the media.
