CUT INES FEMIAKA, HUBUNGAN STATUS GIZI BERDASARKAN LINGKAR LENGAN ATAS DAN LINGKAR PINGGANG DENGAN JENIS STROKE. Banda Aceh Fakultas Kedokteran,2024

Stroke merupakan suatu keadaan dimana ditemukannya tanda klinis yang berkembang cepat berupa defisit fokal fungsi otak. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan status gizi berdasarkan lingkar lengan atas dan lingkar pinggang dengan jenis stroke. jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. adapun populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien stroke iskemik dan stoke hemoragik yang dirawat di ruang rawat inap saraf rsudza tahun 2024 sebanyak 50 orang. teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah accidental sampling. teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah univariat dan bivariat dengan metode spearmank rank. berdasarkan jenis stroke didapatkan sebanyak 5 orang (10%) mengalami stroke hemoragik dan 45 orang (90%) mengalami stroke iskemik. melalui pengukuran status gizi berdasarkan lingkar lengan atas didapatkan 4 orang (8%) memiliki status gizi kurang, 11 orang (22%) normal, 22 orang (44%) overweight, dan 13 orang (26%) obesitas. melalui pengukuran status gizi lingkar pinggang didapatkan 12 orang (24%) memiliki status gizi normal dan 38 orang (76%) obesitas. berdasarkan pengukuran lingkar lengan atas didapatkan status gizi kurang cenderung mengalami stroke iskemik (100%) dibandingkan dengan status gizi lain. berdasarkan lingkar pinggang didapatkan yang memiliki status gizi normal secara presentase cenderung mengalami stroke hemoragik (16,7%) dibandingkan dengan status gizi lain. tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengukuran status gizi berdasarkan lingkar lengan atas dengan hipotesis p-value 0,359 dan lingkar pinggang dengan jenis stroke bernilai p-value 0,388. disarankan bagi keluarga pasien untuk menjaga gaya hidup sehat agar terhindar dari obesitas yang dapat menjadi salah satu faktor terjadinya stroke. kata kunci : stroke iskemik, stroke hemoragik, status gizi, lingkar lengan atas, lingkar pinggang



Abstract

Stroke is a medical condition defined by the sudden onset of clinical symptoms, characterized by focal deficits in brain function. This study aims to explore the correlation between nutritional status measured through upper arm circumference and waist circumference and stroke type. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative design, the research focused on a population of 50 ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients admitted to the neurology inpatient ward at RSUDZA in 2024. The sampling method applied was accidental sampling, while data were analyzed through univariate methods and bivariate analysis using the Spearman rank test. The results revealed that 5 respondents (10%) experienced hemorrhagic stroke, whereas 45 respondents (90%) suffered from ischemic stroke. Nutritional assessment based on upper arm circumference showed that 4 respondents (8%) were undernourished, 11 respondents (22%) had normal nutritional status, 22 respondents (44%) were overweight, and 13 respondents (26%) were classified as obese. Waist circumference measurements indicated that 12 respondents (24%) had normal nutritional status, while 38 respondents (76%) were obese. Analysis of upper arm circumference highlighted that respondents with undernutrition were exclusively associated with ischemic stroke (100%), whereas waist circumference analysis showed that those with normal nutritional status were more likely to experience hemorrhagic stroke (16.7%) compared to other nutritional categories. Nevertheless, statistical analysis found no significant relationship between nutritional status based on upper arm circumference (p-value = 0.359) and waist circumference (p-value = 0.388) and stroke type. This study underscores the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent obesity, a known risk factor for stroke. Families of patients are strongly encouraged to adopt proactive measures to promote overall health and reduce the likelihood of stroke occurrence.
