Abstrak vera yuli napitupulu (2024). metode drill dengan teknik inquiry sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan membaca notasi balok pada pembelajaran rekorder siswa kelas vii di smp negeri 9 banda aceh. di bawah bimbingan dr. sn, mukhsin putra hafid, s.sn., m.a., dan nurlaili, s.pd., m.pd. rendahnya pengetahuan atau pemahaman siswa terhadap materi notasi balok dan penerapan metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru masih bersifat teacher center learning (tcl) serta kurangnya kemampuan siswa yang bisa membaca notasi balok pada materi bermain alat musik sederhana, sehingga menghambat proses belajar secara maksimal. salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca notasi balok siswa pada pembelajaran rekorder adalah metode drill dengan teknik inquiry. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan metode drill dengan teknik inquiry sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan membaca notasi balok pada pembelajaran rekorder siswa kelas vii di smp negeri 9 banda aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode penelitian kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas vii smp negeri 9 banda aceh dengan mengambil sampel dua kelas (kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol) kelas vii-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan vii-3 sebagai kelas kontrol, sampel diambil melalui teknik random sampling dari lima kelas pararel yang tersedia. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. untuk menguji perbedaan hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan metode drill dengan teknik inquiry dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan metode konvensional digunakan uji-t. berdasarkan nilai statistik uji normalitas diketahui bahwa nilai tidak signifikan (sig) pada uji shapiro wilk untuk data pre-test dan post-test

Drill Method with Inquiry Technique as an Effort to Improve the Ability to Read Block Notation in Recorder Learning for Grade VII Students at SMP Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. Under the guidance of Dr. Sn, Mukhsin Putra Hafid, S.Sn., M.A., and Nurlaili, S.Pd., M.Pd. The low level of students' knowledge or understanding of beam notation material and the application of learning methods applied by teachers is still Teacher Center Learning (TCL) and the lack of ability of students who can read beam notation on the material of playing simple musical instruments, thus hampering the learning process to the fullest. One of the learning methods that can be applied to improve students' ability to read beam notation in recorder learning is the drill method with Inquiry techniques. This study aims to determine and describe the drill method with Inquiry techniques as an effort to improve the ability to read beam notation in recorder learning for seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. This research uses a mixed methods approach with experimental research type. The study population was all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Banda Aceh by taking a sample of two classes (experimental class and control class) class VII-2 as the experimental class and VII-3 as the control class, the sample was taken through random sampling technique from the five available parallel classes. Data collection was carried out using observation, tests and documen-tation. To test the difference in learning outcomes of the experimental group who ap-plied the drill method with Inquiry technique with the control class who applied the conventional method used t-test. Based on the statistical value of the normality test, it is known that the insignificant value (Sig) in the Shapiro Wilk test for pre-test and post-test data
