[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan drs. mukhlis, m.hum., dan herman r, s.pd., m.pd. penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan jenis mitos dalam masyarakat montasik, aceh besar. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. sumber data penelitian ini adalah masyarakat kecamatan montasik, aceh besar. data dikumpulkan dengan teknik rekam dan wawancara. data penelitian dianalisis dengan mentraskrip mitosmitos dengan hasil rekaman, kemudian mengubahnya menjadi sebuah cerita atau ungkapan yang memiliki makna, dilanjutkan melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dari hasil analisis. hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 38 data mitos. jenis mitos yang terdapat dalam masyarakat montasik yaitu : (1) mitos asal-usul, (2) mitos dewa-dewi, (3) mitos teogonik/kepercayaan dan penyembahan, (4) mitos tabu larangan atau pantangan, dan (5) mitos faunatik. jumlah data untuk masing-masing jenis mitos adalah sebagai berikut : 2 mitos asal-usul, 4 mitos dewa-dewi, 24 mitos larangan dan pantangan, 3 mitos teogonik, dan 5 mitos faunatik. mitos-mitos yang terdapat dalam masyarakat montasik berfungsi sebagai pengingat agar tidak semena-mena dalam melakukan perbuatan atau pun perkataan terlepas konsekuensi yang didapat benar atau tidak. kata kunci : mitos, jenis mitos, fungsi mitos

ABSTRACT Agus Rahmatillah (2024). Analysis of Myth Types in Montasik Society, Aceh Besar. [Thesis. Syiah Kuala University]. Under the guidance of Drs. Mukhlis, M.Hum., and Herman R, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims to identify and describe the types of myths in the community of Montasik, Aceh Besar. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The data source of this research is the community of Montasik District, Aceh Besar. Data were collected using recording and interview techniques. The research data were analyzed by transcribing the myths with the recording results, then turning them into a story or expression that has meaning, continued through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions from the results of the analysis. The results showed that there were 38 myth data. The types of myths found in the Montasik community are : (1) myths of origin, (2) myths of gods and goddesses, (3) theogonic myths/beliefs and worship, (4) myths of taboos or taboos, and (5) faunatic myths. The amount of data for each type of myth is as follows: 2 origin myths, 4 deity myths, 24 prohibition and taboo myths, 3 theogonic myths, and 5 faunatic myths. The myths found in the Montasik community serve as a reminder not to be arbitrary in doing actions or words regardless of whether the consequences are true or not.
