Platform youtube memiliki manfaat dan pengaruh yang besar terhadap pembelajaran pada saat ini dikarenakan platform ini memiliki beragam informasi dari segala bidang yang tersedia pada saat ini. tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan media youtube sebagai media sosio-edukasi terhadap mahasiswa universitas syiah kuala. metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori strukturasi dari anthony giddens. hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa memanfaatkan platform youtube sebagai media pembelajaran karena youtube merupakan platform yang fleksibel, membuat mahasiswa bisa mengakses platform tersebut dimana saja dan kapan saja tanpa harus dibatasi oleh sesi pembelajaran. jenis konten yang tersebar beragam, membuat mahasiswa menjadi lebih mudah untuk mendapatkan pembelajaran sesuai dengan bidang yang ingin dipelajari. content creator youtube menjelaskan materi melalui channel dengan menggunakan animasi serta audio visual sehingga membuat pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan dan tidak monoton. mahasiswa memanfaatkan youtube untuk memperdalam pemahaman terhadap materi yang diajarkan di kelas maupun diluar kelas karena berbagai jenis informasi dan penyampaian yang menarik serta mudah dipahami oleh mahasiswa. kata kunci: mahasiswa, youtube, konten edukasi, sosio edukasi.

The Youtube platform has great benefits and influence on learning at this time because this platform has a variety of information from all fields that are currently available. The purpose of this study is to find out how to utilize Youtube media as a Socio-Educational media for University Syiah Kuala students. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The theory used in this study is the Structural theory of Anthony Giddens. The results of this study conclude that students utilize the Youtube platform as a learning medium because Youtube is a flexible platform, allowing students to access the platform anywhere and anytime without being limited by learning sessions. The types of content that are spread out are diverse, making it easier for students to get learning according to the fields they want to study. Youtube Content Creator explains the material through the Channel using animation and audio visuals so that learning becomes fun and not monotonous. Students use Youtube to deepen their understanding of the material taught in class and outside the classroom because of the various types of information and delivery that are interesting and easy for students to understand.
