Diabetes mellitus (dm) merupakan penyakit kronis yang berdampak pada kualitas hidup seseorang yang di pengaruhi oleh fungsi keluarga dan social support. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan fungsi keluarga dan social support dengan kualitas hidup penderita dm di poliklinik endokrin rsudza banda aceh. jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. teknik sampling pada penelitian ini adalah accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel 40 responden. analisis data menggunakan uji spearman pada confident interval 95% dan α 0,05. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 72,5% penderita dm di poliklinik endokrin rsudza banda aceh memiliki fungsi keluarga yang baik dan 82,5% mendapatkan social support yang baik. hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang cukup antara fungsi keluarga (p value = 0,031, r = 0,341) dan social support (p value = 0,012, r = 0,393) dengan kualitas hidup. dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup antara fungsi keluarga dan social support dengan kualitas hidup penderita dm di poliklinik endokrin rsudza banda aceh.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that has an impact on a person's quality of life which is influenced by family function and social support. This study aims to determine the relationship between family function and social support and the quality of life of DM sufferers at the Endocrine Polyclinic RSUDZA Banda Aceh. The type of research used is analytical observational research with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this research was Accidental Sampling with a sample size of 40 respondents. The results of data analysis used the Spearman test at a confidence interval of 95% and α 0.05. The research results showed that 72.5% of DM sufferers at the Endocrine Polyclinic RSUDZA Banda Aceh had good family function and 82.5% received good social support. The results obtained indicate that there is a sufficient relationship between family function (P value = 0.031, r = 0.341) and social support (P value = 0.012, r = 0.393) and quality of life. It can be concluded that there is a sufficient relationship between family function and social support and the quality of life of DM sufferers at the Endocrine Polyclinic RSUDZA Banda Aceh.
