DINI MENTARI GUNAWAN, ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI KUALITAS NYERI PASIEN PASCA OPERASI SECTIO CAESAREA DI RSUD DR. ZAINOEL ABIDIN. Banda Aceh Fakultas Kedokteran,2024

Abstract

Pain is experienced differently by each individual and is caused by various factors depending on their pain threshold. In caesarean section (C-section) procedures, pain is usually felt postoperatively due to the diminishing effects of analgesics, typically about two hours after the procedure, which can affect the mother's comfort and recovery process. Postoperative C-section pain can be influenced by biopsychosocial factors such as age, parity, and the type of C-section performed. This pain also impacts postpartum activities, leading to disruptions in sleep patterns, appetite, concentration abilities, and the emotional status of the patient. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between age, parity, and type of C-section with the quality of postoperative pain in C-section patients. This research employed an observational analytic approach with a cross-sectional design, involving a sample size of 34 patients. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman rank test and Chi-square test. The results showed that most C-section patients at RSUDZA were aged 20-35 years (64.7%), had multiparity (61.8%), and underwent emergency C-sections (55.9%). Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between age and pain quality with a moderate correlation (P-value = 0.036, r = 0.362), parity and pain quality with a moderate correlation (P-value = 0.011, r = 0.428), and the type of C-section and pain quality (P-value = 0.043). Keywords: Pain Quality, Caesarean Section, Age, Parity, Type of CS.
