Abstrak modal sosial berperan penting dalam memenangkan pemilu. dr. purnama setia budi, seorang dokter spesialis, juga menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial dalam sektor kesehatan dapat menjadi aset berharga dalam dunia politik. dengan melepas status pegawai negeri sipil (pns) dan dunia praktik kedokteran, dr. purnama berkomitmen untuk memperbaiki kondisi masyarakat melalui jalur politik. pada pemilu 2019, dr. purnama terpilih sebagai anggota dewan perwakilan rakyat aceh (dpra) dengan memperoleh 8.369 suara dari daerah pemilihan aceh 3, menjadi satu-satunya dokter spesialis di aceh yang menjabat di dewan. kemenangan ini mencerminkan kekuatan politik yang diperoleh melalui popularitas dan modal sosial yang dibangun selama ini.penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan modal sosial dr. purnama dalam perolehan suara pileh 2019. penelitian ini menggunakan teori modal sosial menurut pierre boudieu. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. hal dari penelitian ini ialah dr. purnama nama memiliki emoat modal sosial yang kuat yaitu modal sosial dari segi figure yang merupakan sosok dokter yang sering membantu masyarakat. kedua modal sosial melalui komunitas anak muda yang peduli terhadap kondisi perkembangan bireun. ketiga modal sosial dari segi agama yang dimana dr. purnama dikenal dekat dengan para tokoh agama. dan keempat modal sosial dari segi pendidikan yang menunjukkan bagaimana dr. purnama membangun relasi dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang dimiliki. sehingga dengan ketempat modal sosial tersebut mampu membantu dr. purnama memenangkan pileg 2019. kata kunci : modal sosial, dr. purnama , pemenangan

ABSTRACT Social capital plays a crucial role in winning elections. Dr. Purnama Setia Budi, a specialist doctor, demonstrates that social capital in the healthcare sector can be a valuable asset in the political arena. By resigning from his position as a civil servant and stepping away from his medical practice, Dr. Purnama committed himself to improving community conditions through political channels. In the 2019 elections, Dr. Purnama was elected as a member of the Aceh Regional People's Representative Council (DPRA), garnering 8,369 votes from the Aceh 3 electoral district, thus becoming the only specialist doctor in Aceh to hold a position in the council. This victory reflects the political strength gained through popularity and the social capital he has built over time. This research aims to examine the utilization of Dr. Purnama 's social capital in obtaining votes during the 2019 elections, employing Pierre Bourdieu's social capital theory. The study adopts a qualitative approach. The findings indicate that Dr. Purnama possesses four strong forms of social capital. Firstly, his social capital as a figure a doctor who frequently assists the community. Secondly, his social capital through the youth community, which is concerned about the development of Bireuen. Thirdly, his social capital from a religious perspective, where Dr. Purnama is recognized for his close relationships with religious leaders. Finally, his social capital from an educational standpoint, illustrating how Dr. Purnama has built relationships based on his educational background. Collectively, these four forms of social capital contributed significantly to Dr. Purnama 's success in the 2019 legislative elections. Keywords: Social Capital, Dr. Purnama , Winning
