Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan dan bentuk mesoplastik di beberapa pesisir pantai sabang. penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan februari 2024, terdiri dari tiga stasiun yaitu pantai ie meule, pantai anoi itam dan pantai gapang. penilitian ini menggunakan data primer yang dimana untuk pengumpulan data langsung melalui hasil pengamatan atau pengukuran di lapangan. dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif. pada setiap lokasi masing-masing lanjut mempunyai jarak 20 meter dan identifikasi sampel sampah melalui pembuatan sampel sampah dan pengumpulan/klasifikasi sampel. analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis berat sampah, persentase sampah dan kepadatan sampah. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan keseluruhan mesoplastik di ketiga pesisir pantai sabang berjumlah 13,64 unit/m2, dengan masing-masing lokasi memiliki nilai kelimpahan yang berbeda. pesisir pantai ie meule berjumlah 4,64 unit/m2, pesisir pantai anoi itam berjumlah 4,64 unit/m2 dan pesisir pantai gapang berjumlah 4,40 unit/m2. sementara total keseluruhan lima jenis sampah dari ketiga lokasi tersebut berjumlah 341 unit, yaitu didominasi oleh sampah kaca 141 unit, plastik 98 unit, tali 50 unit, plastik bening/buram 34 unit dan busa 18 unit. kata kunci : mesoplastik, kelimpahan, sampah plastik, pantai sabang.

This study aims to determine the abundance and types of mesoplastic debris along several beaches in Sabang. The research was conducted in February 2024, at three stations: Ie Meule Beach, Anoi Itam Beach, and Gapang Beach. It utilized primary data collected through direct observation and measurements in the field. The study employed a quantitative analysis approach. At each location, sampling was conducted at intervals of 20 meters, involving the creation and classification of waste samples. The analyses performed included waste weight, waste percentage, and waste density. The results showed that the overall abundance of mesoplastic debris at the three beaches in Sabang was 13.64 units/m², with varying abundance values at each location. Ie Meule Beach recorded 4.64 units/m², Anoi Itam Beach also recorded 4.64 units/m², and Gapang Beach had 4.40 units/m². In total, five types of waste were identified across the three locations, amounting to 341 units. This was dominated by glass waste (141 units), plastic (98 units), rope (50 units), clear/cloudy plastic (34 units), and foam (18 units). Keywords: Mesoplastic, abundance, plastic waste, Sabang beach.
