Masalah lingkungan yang diakibatkan oleh limbah tekstil dari industri fast fashion semakin mendesak untuk diatasi. salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah memanfaatkan limbah pakaian bekas melalui teknik patchwork untuk menciptakan produk yang bernilai estetis dan fungsional yaitu hiasan dinding berpola karakter tokoh pahlawan aceh, cut nyak dhien. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengaplikasian teknik patchwork pada produk hiasan dinding dengan desain karakter cut nyak dhien, mewujudkan hasil produk, serta mengetahui tanggapan informan terkait produk tersebut. penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen terapan dengan tahapan perancangan produk yang melibatkan desain, pemilihan bahan, dan proses pembuatan dengan teknik patchwork. informan penelitian terdiri dari ahli fashion tekstil dan patchwork, pakar seni dan desain, serta guru tk dan sd. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. dua model produk hiasan dinding yang dihasilkan memiliki karakteristik visual berbeda: model pertama menggunakan kombinasi warna cerah, sedangkan model kedua lebih klasik dengan warna yang tenang. model pertama bertujuan untuk menarik audiens yang lebih muda melalui perpaduan warna-warna cerah yang dinamis, sedangkan model kedua menghadirkan kesan lebih elegan dan formal melalui penggunaan warna-warna netral yang lembut. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dihasilkan dapat menyampaikan nilai-nilai sejarah melalui produk hiasan dinding, serta memanfaatkan limbah pakaian bekas sebagai bentuk dukungan dalam mengolah limbah pakaian bekas. tanggapan dari para informan sangat positif, terutama terkait aspek estetika, edukasi, dan nilai lingkungan dari produk yang dihasilkan. produk ini dinilai tidak hanya berperan sebagai dekorasi, tetapi juga sebagai media untuk mengenalkan sosok pahlawan nasional cut nyak dhien kepada generasi muda, serta mempromosikan pengelolaan limbah tekstil secara kreatif dan bernilai.

Environmental issues caused by textile waste from the fast fashion industry are becoming increasingly urgent to address. One viable solution is to utilize used clothing waste through the patchwork technique to create aesthetically valuable and functional products, such as wall decorations featuring the character of Aceh's national hero, Cut Nyak Dhien. This study aims to explore the process of applying the patchwork technique to wall decoration products with the design of Cut Nyak Dhien, realize the final product, and evaluate the feedback from respondents regarding the product. This research employs an applied experimental method with stages of product development involving design creation, material selection, and the production process using patchwork techniques. The research respondents consist of experts in fashion textiles and patchwork, art and design professionals, as well as kindergarten and elementary school teachers. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Two wall decoration models were produced with distinct visual characteristics: the first model uses a vibrant color kombinasite, while the second model is more classic with softer, more elegant tones. The first model aims to attract a younger audience through dynamic bright colors, while the second model presents a more formal and elegant impression using neutral colors. The findings indicate that the products effectively convey historical values through the wall decoration designs, while also promoting the use of used clothing waste as a form of support for textile waste management. Feedback from respondents was overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the aesthetic, educational, and environmental aspects of the products. These products were considered not only as decorative items but also as a medium for introducing the national hero, Cut Nyak Dhien, to the younger generation, while promoting creative and valuable textile waste management.
