Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tugas berbicara untuk siswa kelas satu pariwisata di smk 1 takengon. diklasifikasikan sebagai research and development (r&d) dengan menggunakan model addie yang terdiri dari analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. subyek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas satu pariwisata smk 1 takengon tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah dua puluh sembilan siswa. teknik purposive sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini. dalam pengumpulan data digunakan angket dan wawancara sebagai instrumen. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. data kualitatif dikumpulkan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap target dan kebutuhan belajar dengan menggunakan angket dan wawancara. data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. sedangkan data kuantitatif dikumpulkan untuk mendapatkan komponen tugas berbicara siswa pariwisata yang sesuai melalui penilaian ahli yang terdiri dari empat ahli dan angket try-out produk untuk menilai pendapat ahli dan siswa terhadap tugas pembelajaran bahasa inggris. data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif yang digunakan sebagai alat untuk menunjukkan dan mendeskripsikan hasil kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala linkert. penelitian ini mengembangkan tugas berbicara yang terdiri dari tiga unit: legend, vacation, dan direction. tugas berbicara dikembangkan berdasarkan target dan kebutuhan pembelajaran. menurut penilaian para ahli, tugas-tugas tersebut sesuai dengan kurikulum, sesuai dengan tujuan, kegiatannya menarik, dan masukannya sesuai. dengan demikian, tugas tersebut layak untuk siswa kelas satu pariwisata di smkn 1 takengon. namun tugasnya hanya terfokus pada keterampilan berbicara.



Abstract

This research aims to develop speaking tasks for first-grade tourism students at Vocational High School 1 Takengon. It is classified as Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of this research is all the first-grade tourism students at Vocational High School 1 Takengon in the academic year of 2023/2024, consisting of twenty-nine students. A purposive sampling technique is used in this research. In collecting the data, questionnaires, and interviews were used as the instrument. This research used qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative data were collected to obtain students’ responses on their target and learning needs using questionnaires and interviews. The data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis techniques. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were collected to get the appropriate components of speaking tasks for tourism students through experts’ judgement which consisted of four experts and product design try-out questionnaires to assess the opinions of experts and students on English language learning tasks. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics which are used as a means to show and to describe the results from the questionnaire by using Linkert scales. This research developed the speaking tasks consisting of three units: Legend, Vacation, and Direction. The speaking tasks were developed based on target and learning needs. According to experts’ judgment, the tasks are compatible with the curriculum, suitable to the goal, interesting activities, and appropriate input. Thus, the tasks are appropriate for first-grade tourism students at Vocational High School 1 Takengon. However, the tasks are only focused on speaking skills.
