Trina Vanisca, AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DAN ANTIINFLAMSI DARI EKSTRAK DIKLOROMETANA DAUN KAYU MANIS (CINNAMOMUM BURMANNII (NEES & TH. NEES) NEES EX BLUME) ASAL ACEH. Banda Aceh Fakultas MIPA (S1),2024

Abstract

Cinnamomum burmannii is one of the plants that has a myriad of benefits both medicine and food. This plants has been tested to contain various biological activities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, analgetic, antithrombotic, antihyperglycemic, antimicrobial, antifungal, and antitumor. This study aims to determine the antioxidant acvtivity using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method and its anti-inflammatory activity using the antiproteinase activity method in dichlorometana (DCM) extract of C. burmannii leaves. C. burmannii leaves was extracted using DCM to obtain 79,79 g (4,79%) of DCM extract of C. burmannii leaves. The DCM extract of C. burmannii leaves to obtain the chemical content of secondary metabolite compounds is alkaloids, flavonoids, tannin, phenol, steroids, terpenoids, and saponin. The DCM extract of C. burmannii leaves was separated from its chemical components using column chromatography to produce 5 sub fraction, namely sub fraction A-E were tested for antioxidant acvtivity using the DPPH method, and its anti-inflammatory activity using the antiproteinase activity method. The results of the strongest antioxidant activity of the sample was found in sub fraction E a with an IC50 value of 0,001 ppm. While the results of the strongest anti-inflammatory activity of the sample was found in sub fraction A a with an IC50 value of 0,01 ppm. Keywords: Cinnamomum burmannii, dichlorometana, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, IC50
