Nama : khalil gibran ismail nomor mahasiswa : 1806102020056 jurusan/strata : pendidikan bahasa inggris / strata satu judul : analisis sifat kepribadian tokoh utama dalam film father kepribadian didefinisikan sebagai perilaku, emosi, motivasi, dan pola pikir seseorang, yang menentukan pendekatan unik mereka dalam berinteraksi dan bereaksi terhadap dunia di sekitar mereka. penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai kepribadian dari para aktor film dan akan mengetahui kepribadian apa yang paling dominan pada tokoh utama. penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif di mana peneliti mengumpulkan informasi dari naskah dan dialog film. penulis mengidentifikasi ciri-ciri kepribadian berdasarkan teori big five yang dipopulerkan oleh mccrae dan costa pada tahun 2002. untuk memfokuskan penelitian, peneliti telah mengidentifikasi 20 adegan film yang sesuai dengan sifat-sifat yang dijelaskan oleh mccrae dan costa. 16 adegan terbaik dengan jelas menunjukkan bahwa karakter utama adalah neurotik, sedangkan dalam empat adegan lainnya, karakter utama adalah ekstrovert, ceria, dan bahagia. adegan yang terakhir juga menunjukkan bahwa karakter utama memiliki kepribadian yang cemas atau depresi. analisis akhir dari 20 adegan dalam film ini mengungkapkan bahwa 16 adegan di antaranya menunjukkan bahwa karakter utama memiliki ciri-ciri neurotik. karakter utama didominasi oleh depresi dan kecemasan, serta mudah melupakan sesuatu. kata kunci: ciri-ciri kepribadian, sastra, karakter utama.

Name : Khalil Gibran Ismail Student No. : 1806102020056 Departement/Strata : Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris / Strata Satu Title : AN ANALYSIS OF PERSONALITY TRAITS OF THE MAIN CHARACTER IN THE FATHER MOVIE Personality is defined by a person's behaviors, emotions, motivations, and mindsets, which determine their unique approach to interacting with and reacting to the world around them. This study will discuss the personality of the movie actors and will find out what personality is the most dominant in the main character. This study uses a descriptive qualitative methodology where the researcher collects information from the script and dialogue of the film. The writer identifies the personality traits according to the theory of the Big Five, which was popularised by McCrae and Costa in 2002. To focus the research, the researcher has identified 20 scenes of the movie that conform to the traits described by McCrae and Costa. The 16 best scenes clearly demonstrate that the main character is neurotic, whereas in four other scenes, the main character is extroverted, cheerful, and happy. The latter scenes also indicate that the main character has an anxious or depressive personality. The final analysis of the 20 scenes in the film reveals that 16 of them show the main character to have neurotic traits.
