Efektivitas ekstrak metanol umbi tumbuhan sarang semut (myrmecodia tuberosa) aceh terhadap pertumbuhan staphylococcus hominis inacc 8226 abstrak bakteri staphylococcus hominis inacc 8266 merupakan bakteri gram positif yang dapat menyebabkan infeksi kulit pada manusia maupun hewan. resistensi bakteri menyebabkan berkurangnya efektivitas antibiotik sehingga mengakibatkan kegagalan terapi dan peningkatan morbiditas dan mortalitas. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas ektrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut (myrmecodia tuberosa) aceh terhadap pertumbuhan staphylococcus hominis inacc 8266, menggunakan metode eksperimental laboratorium dan dirancang dengan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan enam perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. uji efektivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode kirby-bauer dengan konsentrasi bertingkat 6,25% (p1), 12,5% (p2), 25% (p3), 50% (p4) dari ekstrak umbi tumbuhan sarang semut aceh, kontrol positif (amoxicillin), dan kontrol negatif (cmc 1%). data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji ragam (one way anova) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji duncan. hasil penelitian terhadap uji antibakteri ekstrak tumbuhan sarang semut aceh diperoleh zona hambat pada konsentrasi 6,25%, 12,5%, 25% dan 50% yaitu: 9,8 mm; 10,8 mm; 10,6 mm; dan 11,9 mm. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ektrak metanol umbi tumbuhan sarang semut (myrmecodia tuberosa) aceh, memberikan efek antibakteri dalam kategori kuat terhadap staphylococcus hominis inacc 8266. kata kunci : antibakteri, myrmecodia tuberosa, s. hominis.



Abstract

EFFECTIVENESS OF METHANOL EXTRACT OF TUBERS OF THE ACEH ANTS'S NEST PLANT (MYRMECODIA TUBEROSA) ON GROWTH Staphylococcus hominis InaCC 8226 ABSTRAC Staphylococcus hominis InaCC 8266 is a Gram positive bacteria that can cause skin infections in humans and animals. Bacterial resistance causes reduced effectiveness of antibiotics, resulting in therapeutic failure and increased morbidity and mortality. This study aims determine the effectiveness of extracts from the tubers of the Aceh ant's nest plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa) on the growth of Staphylococcus hominis InaCC 8266, using laboratory experimental methods and designed in a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications. The antibacterial effectiveness test was carried out using the Kirby-Bauer Method with graded concentrations of 6,25% (P1), 12,5% (P2), 25% (P3), 50% (P4) from the tuber extract of the Aceh ant nest plant, positive control (amoxicillin), and negative control (CMC 1%). The research data were analyzed using the test of variance (One Way ANOVA) and continued with the Duncan test. The results of research on antibacterial tests of Aceh ant nest plant extracts obtained inhibition zones at concentrations of 6,25%, 12,5%, 25% and 50%, namely: 9,8 mm; 10,8mm; 10,6mm; and 11.9mm. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the methanol extract of the tubers of the Aceh ant nest plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa), provides an antibacterial effect in the strong category against Staphylococcus hominis InaCC 8266.
