Danau aneuk laot sebagai sumber air tawar yang penting untuk kelangsungan hidup ekosistem serta plankton yang hidup di perairan tersebut. aktivitas manusia di sekitar danau memengaruhi kualitas air, yang berdampak pada produktivitas primer dan kehidupan plankton. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis distribusi spasial plankton yang meliputi struktur komunitas, biomassa plankton, dan produktivitas primer perairan danau aneuk laot kota sabang. penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan danau aneuk laot pada bulan maret. metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive random sampling pada 8 titik stasiun pengamatan. pengamatan nilai produktivitas menggunakan metode oksigen botol gelap terang dengan nilai stasiun 6 dan 7 merupakan nilai produktivitas tertinggi dengan nilai 72,66 mg/cm3/jam. komposisi plankton yang ditemukan di perairan danau aneuk laot terdiri dari 16 genera, terdiri dari 6 kelas. jenis kelimpahan plankton yang paling tinggi yaitu pada stasiun 4 dengan total kelimpahan 649.333 ind/l. indeks keanekaragaman plankton di perairan danau aneuk laot termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai keseragaman merata dan tidak adanya jenis yang berdominansi. indeks kesamaan jenis antar stasiun berkisar 89% dan 38%. pola penyebaran plankton di perairan danau aneuk laot termasuk dalam kategori berkelompok. kata kunci: danau aneuk laot, plankton, produktivitas primer, distribusi spasial

Aneuk Laot Lake is a source of fresh water which is important for the sustainability of living ecosystems and the plankton that live in these waters. Human activities around the lake affect air quality, which impacts primary productivity and plankton life. The aim of this research is to analyze the spatial distribution of plankton which includes community structure, plankton biomass, and primary productivity of the waters of Lake Aneuk Laot, Sabang City. This research was carried out in the waters of Lake Aneuk Laot in March. The sampling method was carried out by purposive random sampling at 8 observation station points. Observation of productivity values using the light dark bottle oxygen method with station values 6 and 7 is the highest productivity value with a value of 72.66 mg/Cm3/hour. The plankton composition found in the waters of Lake Aneuk Laot consists of 16 genera, consisting of 6 classes. The highest type of plankton broadcasting was at station 4 with a total broadcasting of 649,333 ind/L. The plankton diversity index in the waters of Lake Aneuk Laot is included in the medium category with evenly uniform values and the absence of dominant species. The type similarity index between stations ranges from 89% and 38%. The plankton distribution pattern in the waters of Lake Aneuk Laot is included in the group category.
