Danau laut tawar merupakan habitat penting bagi ikan poropuntius tawarensis yang terancam oleh perubahan lingkungan dan aktivitas manusia. masalah ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran tentang keberlanjutan populasi ikan tersebut. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik habitat breeding site ikan poropuntius tawarensis, menganalisis korelasi kelimpahan ikan dengan faktor kualitas perairan, menilai sosial ekonomi masyarakat dan mengetahui pengelolaan breeding site ikan kawan (poropuntius tawarensis) di danau laut tawar. penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi lapangan. analisis data menggunakan indeks morisita untuk menentukan pola distribusi ikan. sosial ekonomi dikumpulkan melalui survei dan wawancara. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan poropuntius tawarensis tersebar di empat lokasi penelitian dengan distribusi yang paling dominan di hakim bale bujang. pola distribusi ikan bersifat mengelompok yang dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik habitat breeding site. korelasi kelimpahan ikan kawan dengan faktor kualitas perairan breeding site (tempat pemijahan) sangat kuat pada ph. hubungan kelimpahan ikan dan ph menunjukkan korelasi negatif. semakin tinggi nilai ph semakin rendah jumlah ikan kawan (poropuntius tawarensis). sebaliknya semakin rendah ph semakin tinggi jumlah ikan. penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pengelolaan yang lebih baik terhadap habitat breeding site ikan poropuntius tawarensis, dengan memperhatikan interaksi lingkungan dan kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat setempat untuk menjaga keberlanjutan spesies ini. pengelolaan breeding site perlu dilakukan agar pelestarian dan pengelolaan populasi ikan tetap terjaga sehingga perlu dilakukan monitoring dan evaluasi secara berkala.

Laut Tawar lake are important habitats for Poropuntius tawarensis fish that are threatened by environmental changes and human activities. This issue raises concerns about the sustainability of the fish population. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Poropuntius tawarensis breeding site habitat, analyze the correlation of fish abundance with water quality factors, assess the socio-economic community and determine the management of the breeding site of comrade fish (Poropuntius tawarensis) in Lake Laut Tawar. This research used field observation method. Data analysis used the morisita index to determine fish distribution patterns. Socio-economic data were collected through surveys and interviews. The results showed that Poropuntius tawarensis fish were distributed in four research locations with the most dominant distribution in Judge Bale Bujang. The fish distribution pattern is clustered which is influenced by the characteristics of the breeding site habitat. The correlation between the abundance of comrade fish and the water quality factor of the breeding site is very strong at pH. The relationship between fish abundance and pH shows a negative correlation. The higher the pH value, the lower the number of schooling fish (Poropuntius tawarensis). Conversely, the lower the pH, the higher the number of fish. This study suggests the need for better management of Poropuntius tawarensis breeding site habitat, taking into account environmental interactions and socio-economic conditions of the local community to maintain the sustainability of this species. Breeding site management needs to be carried out so that the preservation and management of fish populations is maintained so that regular monitoring and evaluation is needed.
