Cut Nur Afifah, GREEN SYNTHESIS NANOPARTIKEL TEMBAGA MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK AIR DAUN SRIKAYA (ANNONA SQUAMOSA L) SERTA UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIMIKROBA. Banda Aceh Fakultas MIPA Kimia,2024

Abstract

Synthesis of copper nanoparticles has been carried out using the green synthesis method employing water extract of sugar apple (Annona squamosa L.) leaves as a reducing agent and stabilizer. The total phenolic content (TPC) in the water extract of srikaya leaves that was determined using the Folin-Ciocalteu method was 560 GAE/g and the total flavonoid content (TFC) in the water extract of srikaya leaves that was determined using the AlCl3 colorimetric method was 7.0 QE/g . The phenolic and flavonoid content found in the water extract of srikaya leaves are responsible for the formation of copper nanoparticles. The results of the reduction reaction of srikaya leaf water extract on Cu2+ ions were confirmed using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). The characterization results show that the nanoparticles formed are Cu, CuO, Cu2O and CuO2. FT-IR analysis shows that the OH group plays a role in the metal reduction process. The obtained copper nanoparticles have antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, Escherichia coli bacteria and Candida albicans fungi with weak inhibitory power, while the pure extract shows no activity at all. Keywords: Green synthesis, Annona squamosa L., copper nanoparticles, antimicrobial activity
