Pengaruh bobot telur terhadap fertilitas dan daya tetas telur ayam joper raja fahlefi (1802101010008) dr. drh. dasrul, m.si. dan drh. m. jalaluddin, m.sc. abstrak ayam joper merupakan hasil perbaikan genetik menggunakan metode grading up, dengan menyilangkan ayam ras betina dengan pejantan lokal unggul. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bobot telur terhadap fertilitas dan daya tetas ayam joper. metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional, sampel penelitian dibagi dalam tiga kelompok berat telur, yaitu kelompok i (bobot telur 60 g), masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 25 butir telur. data yang diperoleh diuji secara statistik menggunakan analysis of varian (anova) dan disajikan didalam bentuk tabel dan grafik dengan menghitung fertilitas dan daya tetas telur ayam joper. hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat fertilitas telur pada kelompok i sebesar 80,00±14,14%, kelompok ii sebesar 88,00±17,89% dan kelompok iii sebesar 84,00±21,91%; daya tetas telur pada kelompok i sebesar 50,33±15,83%, kelompok ii sebesar 91,00±12,45% dan kelompok iii sebesar 78,67±30,70%. dapat disimpulkan berat telur tidak mempengaruhi fertilitas namun berpengaruh terhadap daya tetas telur ayam joper. bobot telur 50-60 g menghasilkan fertilitas dan daya tetas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan bobot telur 60 gram. kata kunci: ayam joper, berat telur, daya tetas, fertilitas.

THE EFFECT OF EGG WEIGHT ON FERTILITY AND HATCHABILITY IN JOPER CHICKEN EGGS ABSTRACT Joper chicken is the result of genetic improvement using the grading up method, by crossing female breed chickens with superior local males. This study aims to determine the effect of egg weight on fertility and hatchability of joper chickens. This research method is an observational study, the research sample was divided into three groups of egg weight, namely group I group I (egg weight 60 g), each group consists of 25 eggs. The data obtained was tested statistically using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and presented in a table structure by calculating the fertility and hatchability of joper chicken eggs. The results showed that the egg fertility rate in group I was 80,00±14,14%, group II was 88,00±17,89% and group III was 84,00±21,91%; egg hatchability in group I was 50,33±15,83%, group II was 91,00±12,45% and group III was 78,67±30,70%. Egg weight does not affect fertility but does affect the hatchability of joper chicken eggs. Egg weight of 50-60 gram produces higher fertility and hatchability compared to egg weight 60 gram.
