Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh economically dependent self-employed dan necessity self-employed terhadap work engagement dengan intrinsic job resources sebagai variabel mediasi. data didapat melalui proses survei terhadap 153 wirausaha di kecamatan lhoknga aceh besar sebagai sampel yang mewakili populasi penelitian dan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrument pengumpulan data. teknik sampel yang digunakan non probability sampling menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. statistical package social science (spss) digunakan sebagai metode analisis untuk mengetahui pengaruh antar variabel yang diteliti. hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa economically dependent self-employed dan necessity self-employed secara signifikan mempengaruhi work engagement. hasil penelitian juga menemukan pengaruh yang signifikan antara economically dependent self-employed dan necessity self-employed terhadap intrinsic job resources sehingga intrinsic job resources mampu memediasi pengaruh economically dependent self-employed dan necessity self-employed terhadap work engagement pada wirausaha di kecamatan lhoknga aceh besar. kata kunci : work engagement, economically dependent self-employed, necessity self-employed, intrinsic job resources

ABSRACT This study aims to examine the Influence of Economically Dependent Self-Employment and Necessity Self-Employment on Work Engagement with Intrinsic Job Resources as a mediating variable. Data were collected through a survey of 153 entrepreneurs in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar, as a representative sample of the research population, using questionnaires as the data collection instrument. Non-probability sampling using the Purposive Sampling technique was employed. Statistical Package Social Science (SPSS) was utilized as the analysis method to investigate the influence between the research variables. The findings revealed that Economically Dependent Self-Employment and Necessity Self-Employment significantly influence Work Engagement. Additionally, the study found a significant influence between Economically Dependent Self-Employment and Necessity Self-Employment on Intrinsic Job Resources, indicating that Intrinsic Job Resources effectively mediates the influence of Economically Dependent Self-Employment and Necessity Self-Employment on the Work Engagement of entrepreneurs in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar.
