Sistem integrase sapi kelapa sawit (siska) merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan populasi sapi potong dan produksi daging merah dalam negeri dengan memanfaatkan limbah kelapa sawit fermentasi sebagai pakan sapi potong. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui performa sapi brahman cross yang mendapatkan perlakuan pakan silase limbah sawit dan rumput pakchong. penelitian mengenai pemanfaatan limbah kelapa sawit dengan cara difermentasi dan silase telah banyak dilakukan. namun demikian belum banyak literature terkait pertumbuhan sapi brahman cross yang mendapat pakan silase pelepah daun kelapa sawit dengan penambahan rumput pakchong. penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di kandang sapi potong pt. simbiosis karya agroindustri, desa wonorejo, kecamatan tanah bumbu, banjarmasin, kalimantan selatan. waktu pelaksanaan penelitian mulai april sampai juni 2022. materi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sapi brahman cross jantan yang berumur 12 bulan dengan bobot rata- rata 364±381 kg sebanyak 53 ekor. rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan setiap pakan perlakuan (jenis pakan) diberikan secara acak ke setiap unit eksperimen (kelompok sapi) dan dengan waktu pemberian pakan yang berbeda-beda selama 30 hari dan masa adaptasi selama 7 hari. perlakuan pakan penelitian ini adalah: p1 (konsentrat 5% + pakan silase pelepah sawit 40% + hijauan 55%), p2 (konsentrat 5% + pakan silase pelepah sawit dan pakchong 40% + hijauan 55%). parameter penelitian yang diamati terdiri atas pertambahan bobot badan harian, konsumsi pakan, dan body condition score (bcs) sapi brahman cross jantan. data dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam, analisys of variant (anova) dan dilakukan uji lanjut dengan independent t-tes. berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pemberian pakan silase pelepah kelapa sawit dan rumput pakchong berpengaruh sangat nyata (p0,05) terhadap body condition score (bcs) sapi brahman cross jantan. dari hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa, perlakuan p2 dengan silase pelepah sawit dan rumput pakchong dengan pesentase 40% memberikan hasil terbaik karena paling efisien dalam pemanfaatan pakan, dengan nilai pertambahan bobot badan yang tinggi dan konsumsi pakan terendah.



Abstract

The Palm Oil-Cattle Integration System (SISKA) is an effort to increase the population of beef cattle and domestic red meat production by utilizing fermented palm oil waste as feed for beef cattle. The objective of this study is to determine the performance of Brahman cross cattle that receive silage feed from palm oil waste and Pakchong grass. Research on the utilization of palm oil waste through fermentation and silage has been widely conducted. However, there is limited literature on the growth of Brahman cross cattle fed with silage made from palm oil fronds with the addition of Pakchong grass. This study was conducted at the beef cattle pen of PT. Simbiosis Karya Agroindustri, Wonorejo Village, Tanah Bumbu District, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The research was carried out from April to June 2022. The materials used in this study were 53 male Brahman cross cattle aged 12 months with an average weight of 364±381 kg. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design with each treatment feed (type of feed) randomly assigned to each experimental unit (cattle group) and with different feeding times for 30 days and an adaptation period of 7 days. The feed treatments in this study were: P1 (5% concentrate + 40% palm frond silage feed + 55% forage), P2 (5% concentrate + 40% palm frond and Pakchong silage feed + 55% forage). The research parameters observed included daily weight gain, feed consumption, and body condition score (BCS) of male Brahman cross cattle. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested with an independent T-test. The results showed that the provision of palm frond silage and Pakchong grass feed had a highly significant effect (P0.05) on the body condition score (BCS) of male Brahman cross cattle. The conclusion from the research is that treatment P2 with palm frond silage and Pakchong grass at a percentage of 40% provided the best results because it was the most efficient in feed utilization, with high weight gain and the lowest feed consumption.
