Abstrak di era modern ini manusia tidak luput dari gadget elektronik dimana hampir > 3 jam per hari waktu manusia terpakai untuk menatap gadget elektronik. begitu pula pada generasi remaja atau mahasiswa, di mana pada fase jenjang pendidikan juga tak lepas pada gadget. hal ini lah membentuk banyak aplikasi atau sistem yang mengikuti era modern ini. pada zaman modern ini presensi juga ikut berkembang dengan teknologi oleh karenanya sistem presensi terbentuk pada digital hal ini telah menjadi awam bagi pengguna teknologi. dalam penelitian ini merancang sebuah sistem dengan keamanan yang dapat mengenal seorang user dengan pengenalan citra wajah yang direkam oleh kamera perangkat seperti laptop atau smartphone. secara garis besar proses pengenalan wajah ini adalah kamera webcam yang melakukan pengambilan data berupa foto pada wajah yang akan di simpan pada local file yang terhubung framework django yang digunakan sebagai database server lalu dicocokkan pada foto user yang telah terdata dengan menggunakan face recognition. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sistem presensi yang menggunakan face recognition memberi dua langkah keamanan dan dapat mengenal user mahasiswa pada sistem presensi 93% lebih akurat. kata kunci: webcam, face recognition, framework.

ABSTRACT In this modern era, humans are not free from electronic gadgets, where almost >3 hours of human time per day is used to look at electronic gadgets. The same goes for the teenage or student generation, where at this stage of education they are also not free from gadgets. This has formed many applications or systems that follow this modern era. In this modern era, presence is also developing with technology, therefore the presence system is created digitally, this has become commonplace for technology users. In this research, we designed a system with security that can recognize a person User with facial image recognition recorded by a device camera such as a laptop or Smartphone. In general, the facial recognition process is a camera Webcam which takes data in the form of photos of faces which will be saved on Local File connected Framework Django is used as a database server and then matched to the photo User which have been recorded using Face Recognition. Based on the research results, the presence system that uses Face Recognition provides two steps of security and can recognize User students on the attendance system are 93% more accurate.
