Aman merupakan salah satu ruang terbuka hijau (rth) publik yang tersedia di wilayah perkotaan yang dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat seperti berekreasi, beraktivitas, maupun beristirahat. kota langsa memiliki luas rth publik mencapai 1.258,71 ha atau 29,97. beragamnya aktivitas yang terjadi di kota langsa, sehingga keberadaan taman menjadi semakin penting guna untuk menunjang keseimbangan aktivitas, dimana taman tidak hanya dilihat dari keberadaannya namun juga bagaimana taman tersebut mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pengunjung. untuk itu perlu diperhatikan tidak hanya kuantitas untuk memenuhi standar minimal tetapi juga perlu diperhatikan kualitas dari taman tersebut. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas taman di kota langsa ditinjau dari kebutuhan pengunjung. efektivitas taman dilihat dari kebutuhan pengunjung di taman, yaitu kenyamanan, keamanan, aktivitas dan aksesibilitas. hasil analisis efektivitas taman akan digunakan untuk menyusun strategi efektivitas yang tepat sehingga adanya peningkatan kualitas taman. penelitian ini menggunakan metode mixed methods. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder. penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis stastistik deskriptif, analisis skoring dengan pengukuran menggunakan skala likert, analisis swot dan analisis deskriptif. berdasarkan analisis terhadap keempat kebutuhan pengunjung tersebut, aksesibilitas merupakan kebutuhan yang terpenuhi di kedua taman, sedangakan ketiga kebutuhan lain belum terpenuhi secara keseluruhan. tingkat efektivitas taman dibagi ke dalam tiga kategori, yaitu efektif, cukup efektif dan tidak efektif. berdasarkan hasil analisis, lapangan merdeka termasuk dalam kategori efektif dan taman bambu runcing masuk ke dalam kategori cukup efektif. kata kunci: efektivitas, kota langsa, ruang terbuka hijau, taman

The park is one of the public Green Open Spaces (RTH) available in urban areas that are used to meet the needs of the community such as recreation, activities, and rest. Langsa City has a public RTH area of 1,258.71 Ha or 29.97. The variety of activities that occur in Langsa City, so that the existence of the park becomes increasingly important in order to support the balance of activities, where the park is not only seen from its existence but also how the park is able to meet the needs of visitors. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention not only to the quantity to meet the minimum standards but also to pay attention to the quality of the garden. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of parks in Langsa City from the perspective of visitor needs. The effectiveness of the park is seen from the needs of visitors in the park, namely comfort, safety, activity and accessibility. The results of the park effectiveness analysis will be used to develop the right effectiveness strategy so that there is an improvement in the quality of the park. This study uses a mixed methods method. The data collection technique uses primary and secondary data collection techniques. This study uses descriptive statistical analysis techniques, scoring analysis with measurements using Likert Scale, SWOT analysis and descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of the four visitor needs, accessibility is a need that is met in both parks, while the other three needs have not been met as a whole. The level of effectiveness of the park is divided into three categories, namely effective, moderately effective and ineffective. Based on the results of the analysis, Merdeka Square is included in the effective category and the Pointed Bamboo Park is included in the category of quite effective.
