Abstrak kekeringan disebabkan oleh curah hujan yang rendah dalam periode tertentu, dan berdampak terhadap sektor pertanian, ekosistem, juga kehidupan sosial-ekonomi. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kekeringan di kawasan pesisir timur aceh secara spasial menggunakan metode standardized precipitation index (spi) 3. data curah hujan diperoleh dari center for hydrometeorology and remote sensing (chrs) tahun 2022. berdasrkan analisis spi-3 pada bulan januari 2022 kawasan pesisir timur aceh mengalami kondisi yang lebih kering dibandingkan bulan lainnya. sementara pada bulan oktober dan november, kawasan pesisir timur aceh mengalami kondisi yang lebih basah dari bulan lainnya. secara spasial, di pesisir timur aceh, kota langsa, aceh tamiang, dan aceh timur termasuk yang paling kering dibandingkan kabupaten lainnya. trend kekeringan kawasan pesisir timur aceh menunjukkan fluktuasi tahunan dengan curah hujan maksimum pada oktober-desembar dan minimum pada januari-april. analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa surface temperature (sst) berkorelasi terhadap kekeringan di pesisir timur aceh dibandingkan indian ocean dipole (iod). penelitian ini memberikan informasi bagi pengelolaan sumber daya air dan strategi mitigasi kekeringan di kawasan pesisir timur aceh, serta dapat menjadi acuan bagi kebijakan lingkungan yang lebih efektif. kata kunci: kekeringan, curah hujan, standardized precipitation index (spi), sea surface temperature (sst), indian ocean dipole (iod)



Abstract

ABSTRACT Drought is caused by low rainfall over a certain period and affects the agricultural sector, ecosystems, and socio-economic life. This study aims to analyze the drought level in the eastern coastal region of Aceh spatially using the 3-month Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) method. Rainfall data was obtained from the Center for Hydrometeorology and Remote Sensing (CHRS) for the year 2022. Based on the SPI-3 analysis in January 2022, the eastern coastal region of Aceh experienced drier conditions compared to other months. Meanwhile, in October and November, the eastern coastal region of Aceh experienced wetter conditions than other months. Spatially, in the eastern coastal region of Aceh, the cities of Langsa, Aceh Tamiang, and East Aceh were the driest compared to other districts. The drought trend in the eastern coastal region of Aceh shows annual fluctuations with maximum rainfall occurring in October-December and minimum in January-April. Further analysis indicates that Sea Surface Temperature (SST) is more correlated with drought in the eastern coastal region of Aceh compared to the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). This study provides important insights for water resource management and drought mitigation strategies in the eastern coastal region of Aceh and can serve as a reference for more effective environmental policies.
