Bakteri endofit dapat memproduksi metabolit sekunder yang sama dengan tumbuhan inangnya seperti memiliki aktivitas sebagai antimikroba. ekstrak daun tumbuhan anting-anting diketahui memiliki aktivitas antimikroba. namun, bakteri endofit daun tumbuhan anting-anting dan kemampuan antimikrobanya belum pernah dilaporkan. isolasi bakteri endofit dilakukan dengan metode spread plate pada media nutrient agar (na), serta dilakukan karakterisasi makroskopis, mikroskopis isolat dan uji biokimia berupa uji indol, h2s, motilitas, simmons citrate, mr-vp, katalase dan tsia. identifikasi isolat bakteri mengacu pada buku bergey’s manual of systematic bacteriology. pengujian aktivitas antimikroba dilakukan dengan metode difusi menggunakan cork borer. hasil yang diperoleh yaitu didapatkannya 14 isolat bakteri endofit daun anting-anting (beda 1 hingga beda 14) yang diduga termasuk ke dalam delapan genus yang berbeda yaitu staphylococcus, neisseria, escherichia, enterococcus, bacillus, listeria, streptococcus, dan klebsiella. isolat beda 3 dan beda 5 memiliki diameter zona hambat yang besar terhadap bakteri uji staphylococcus aureus. isolat bakteri beda 9 memiliki diameter zona hambat yang besar terhadap jamur uji candida albicans. tiga isolat (beda 3, beda 5 dan beda 9) yang memiliki kemampuan antimikroba yang baik dapat bermanfaat dalam perkembangan bidang pengetahuan dan kesehatan.

Abstract
Endophytic bacteria can produce the same secondary metabolites as their host plants, such as having antimicrobial activity. The leaf extract of the anting-anting plant is known to have antimicrobial activity. However, endophytic bacteria in the leaves of the anting-anting plant with their antimicrobial activity have never been reported. Isolation of endophytic bacteria was carried out using the spread plate method on Nutrient Agar (NA) media follow by macroscopic and microscopic characterization of the isolate and biochemical tests including indole, H2S, motility, Simmons citrate, MR-VP, catalase and TSIA tests. Identification of bacterial isolates was performed by referring to Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology. Antimicrobial activity test was carried out using the diffusion method. There were 14 isolates of antinganting leaf endophytic bacteria (coded as BEDA 1 to BEDA 14) which were thought to belong to eight different genera, namely Staphylococcus, Neisseria, Escherichia, Enterococcus, Bacillus, Listeria, Streptococcus, and Klebsiella. BEDA 3 and BEDA 5 isolates had a large inhibitory zone diameter against the test bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. The bacterial isolate BEDA 9 had a large inhibitory zone diameter against the test fungus Candida albicans. Three isolates (BEDA 3, BEDA 5 and BEDA 9) which have good antimicrobial abilities can be useful in the development of alternative drugs in the future.
