Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh struktur kepemilkan terhadap kebijakan dividen pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia periode 2009-2013. dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling diperoleh 20 perusahaan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian. hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan model analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa kepemilikan institusional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhdap kebijakan dividen, sedangkan kepemilikan asing berpengaruh negatif terhadap kebijakan dividen, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa perusahaan-perusahaan di indonesia umumnya memiliki struktur kepemilikan yang terkonsentrasi. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa struktur kepemilikan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kebijakan dividen pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia. kata kunci : struktur kepemilikan, dividend payout ratio, kepemilikan institusional, kepemilkan asing abstract the study aims to determine the effect of ownership structure on dividend policy. the population of this study is the registered companies in the indonesian stock exchange during the 2009-2013 period. by using purposive sampling method, 20 companies was selected in the study. the results obtained by using the model of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the institutional ownership positively and significantly affected dividend policy, while foreign ownership negatively affected the dividend policy. the results of this study also showed that companies in indonesia generally adopted concentrated ownership structure. based on the results, this study concluded that the ownership structure has positive and significant effect on the dividend policy on listed the companies in the indonesian stock exchange. keywords: ownership structure, dividend payout ratio, institutional ownership, foreign ownership.
