[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dr. usman, s.pd., m.pd., dan dewi annisa, s.pd., m.pd. pemahaman matematis merupakan proses pembelajaran matematika, termasuk kemampuan menyerap informasi, mengingat rumus dan konsep matematika, menerapkan mereka dalam situasi yang sederhana atau serupa, menilai keakuratan pernyataan, dan memanfaatkan rumus serta teorema untuk menyelesaikan berbagai masalah. kenyataan dilapangan saat ini mengindikasikan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menangani permasalahan matematika yang menekankan pemahaman konsep dalam suatu topik khusus tertentu. salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yaitu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (tps). tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi spltv melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share pada kelas x man 1 sabang. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre-experimen dan desain penelitian one shot case study. populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas x man 1 sabang dan sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 siswa melalui teknik random sampling. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan nilai hasil posttest. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi spltv melalui penerapan model dengan z_hitung>z_tabel, yaitu 2,55>1,69, dimana terletak pada daerah penerimaan h_1, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa di kelas x man 1 sabang melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share dapat mencapai nilai kkm. situasi ini dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil tes siswa adalah 76,9 menunjukkan lebih dari nilai kkm siswa yaitu 70. kata kunci: pemahaman matematis, spltv, think pair share.

Mathematical understanding is the process of learning mathematics, including the ability to absorb information, remember mathematical formulas and concepts, apply them in simple or similar situations, assess the accuracy of statements, and utilize formulas and theorems to solve various problems. The reality in the field today indicates the low ability of students to handle mathematical problems that emphasize understanding of concepts in a particular topic. One alternative that can be done to determine students' mathematical understanding ability is by applying a cooperative learning model of think pair share (TPS) type. The purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematical understanding ability on SPLTV material through the cooperative learning model of think pair share type in class X MAN 1 Sabang. This study used a quantitative approach with the type of pre-experiment research and oneshot case study research design. The population of this study were all grade X students of MAN 1 Sabang and the sample in this study were 30 students through random sampling technique. The data collection technique used the Posttest result value. The results showed that the students' mathematical understanding ability on SPLTV material through the application of the model with Z_hitung>Z_tabel, namely 2.55 > 1.69, which is located in the H_1 acceptance area, it can be said that the students' mathematical understanding ability in class X MAN 1 Sabang through the cooperative learning model type think pair share can reach the KKM value. This situation is seen from the average value of student test results is 76.9, which shows more than the student's KKM value of 70. Keywords: Mathematical Understanding, SPLTV, Think Pair Share.
