Latar belakang masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah karena siswa tidak aktif dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah seperti siswa pada proses pembelajaran berlangsung tidak dapat mengutarakan pendapat baik dalam bentuk menjawab pertanyaan, mengajukan pertanyaan maupun memberi tanggapan dan siswa membuat keributan sehingga suasana kelas tidak kondusif. oleh karena itu, tugas yang diberikan siswa tidak dapat mengerjakannya dengan baik dan pada saat pengumpulan tugas tiba banyak siswa yang tidak mengumpulkan tugasnya. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif practic rehearsal pairs pada pembelajaran sejarah siswa kelas xi ipas 3 di sma n 1 muara batu. (2) mengetahui keaktifan siswa setelah diterapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif practic rehearsal pairs pada pembelajaran sejarah kelas xi ipas 3 di sma n 1 muara batu. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas xi ipas sma n 1 muara batu. sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas xi ipas 3 yang terdiri dari 34 siswa. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. sedangkan teknik analisis data pada lembar observasi yaitu menggunakan rumus total skor hasil observasi. berdasarkan hasil observasi penerapan strategi prp diperoleh nilai sebesar 92 hingga 75. proses pembelajaran ini berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan langkah-langkah dari strategi pembelajaran aktif practic rehearsal pairs. dan hasil observasi keaktifan setelah diterapkan strategi prp diperoleh nilai sebesar 84% hingga 75% merujuk pada kriteria sangat baik. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif practic rehearsal pairs pada pembelajaran sejarah siswa kelas xi ipas 3 berjalan dengan lancar dan mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai diharapkan. (2) keaktifan siswa setelah diterapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif practic rehearsal pairs pada pembelajaran sejarah kelas xi ipas 3 telah menunjukkan peningkatan dengan siswa yang terlibat aktif mencapai indikator keaktifan siswa. kata kunci : strategi pembelajaran aktif, practic rehearsal pairs (prp), keaktifan belajar.

The background of the problem in this research is because students are not active in the history learning process, for example, students during the learning process cannot express opinions either in the form of answering questions, asking questions or providing responses and students make noise so that the classroom atmosphere is not conducive. Therefore, students cannot do the assignments given well and when the assignment time comes, many students do not submit their assignments. This research aims to (1) determine the application of the active learning strategy practice rehearsal pairs in history learning for class XI IPAS 3 students at SMA N 1 Muara Batu. (2) find out students' activeness after implementing the active learning strategy of practice rehearsal pairs in history learning for class XI IPAS 3 at SMA N 1 Muara Batu. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research type. The population in this study were all students of class XI Science and Technology at SMA N 1 Muara Batu. The sample in this research was class XI Science 3 which consisted of 34 students. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique on the observation sheet uses the total score formula for the observation results. Based on the results of observations of the implementation of the PRP strategy, a score of 92 to 75 was obtained. This learning process ran smoothly according to the steps of the active learning strategy practice rehearsal pairs. And the results of observing activity after implementing the PRP strategy obtained a score of 84% to 75% referring to very good criteria. So it can be concluded that (1) the application of the active learning strategy practice rehearsal pairs in history learning for class XI Science 3 students went smoothly and obtained the expected results.
