Abstrak nanda maisari (2024). penerapan model discovery learning dengan konteks global warming untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematis dan self confidence pada siswa mts kemampuan pemahaman matematis adalah kemampuan menyatakan kembali konsep matematika dengan bahasa sendiri, mengklasifikasikan objek-objek matematika, menerapkan konsep secara algoritma, menginterpretasikan gagasan atau konsep, mengaitkan berbagai konsep matematika. siswa yang memiliki sifat tingkat selfconfidence tinggi akan mampu mengeluarkan ide atau gagasannya. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang diajarkan melalui model discovery learning dengan konteks global warming; (2) interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan level siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa; (3) peningkatan self-confidence siswa yang diajarkan melalui model discovery learningdengan konteks global warming; (4) interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan level siswa terhadap peningkatan self-confidence siswa. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-postest control group. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas viii mtss jeumala amal. pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling terpilih 60 orang siswa dengan kelas viii 1 kelas eksperimen, kelas viii 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes dan angket self-confidence. analisis data menggunakan uji anova. hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui penerapan model discovery learning dengan konteks global warming; (2) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan level siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa; (3) terdapat peningkatan self-confidence siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui penerapan model discovery learning dengan konteks global warming; (4) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan level siswa terhadap self-confidence siswa. kata kunci: model discovery learning, kemampuan pemahaman matematis, global warming, self-confidence

Application of the Discovery Learning Model to a Global Context Warming to Improve Mathematical Understanding and Self Confidence in Students MTS The ability to understand mathematics is the ability to restate mathematical concepts in their own language, classifying mathematical objects, apply concepts algorithmically, interpret ideas or concepts, relate various mathematical concepts. Students who have a high level of self-confidence will be able to express their ideas. This research aims to find out: (1) increasing students' mathematical understanding abilities taught through a discovery learning model with the context of global warming; (2) interaction between the learning model and student level towards improvement students' mathematical understanding abilities; (3) increasing students' self-confidence taught through a discovery learning model with the context of global warming; (4) interaction between the learning model and the student's level of increasing self-confidence student. This research is a quantitative research with a pretest-posttest design control group. The population in this study were all class VIII MTSs students Jeumala Amal. The sample selection used a simple random sampling technique 60 students in class VIII 1 as experimental class, class VIII 2 as control class. Data collection techniques use test instruments and self-confidence questionnaires. Data analysis used the ANOVA test. The results of the analysis show that: (1) there are increasing the mathematical understanding ability of students who receive learning through the application of discovery learning models with the context of global warming; (2) no there is an interaction between the learning model and the student's level of improvement students' mathematical understanding abilities; (3) there is an increase in student self-confidence who obtain learning through the application of the discovery learning model with global warming context; (4) there is no interaction between the learning model and student level of student self-confidence.
