Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal higher order thinking skill (hots) pada materi pecahan di kelas vii smpn 6 banda aceh. data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif, pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar tes sebagai alat pengumpulan data, tes yang digunakan beruapa soal pecahan dengan kriteria berpikir tingkat tinggi (high order thingking skill). hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal hots pada materi pecahan di kelas vii bervariasi, ada siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami konsep, ada yang kesulitan dalam menerapkan prinsip, serta ada yang mengalami kesulitan menyelesaikan masalah verbal. berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan, terdapat 9 dari 30 siswa (30%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c4, 11 dari 30 siswa (36,66%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c5, dan 12 dari 30 siswa (40%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c6 mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari konsep. terdapat 11 dari 30 siswa (36,66%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c4, 26 dari 30 siswa (86,66%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c5, dan 20 dari 30 siswa (66,66%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c6 mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan aturan atau prinsip. terdapat 13 dari 30 siswa (43,33%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c4, 16 dari 30 siswa (53,33%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c5, dan 26 dari 30 siswa (86,66%) kesulitan menjawab soal level c6 mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah verbal.



Abstract

This study aims to describe Students' Difficulties in Solving Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) Problems on Fraction Material in Class VII SMPN 6 Banda Aceh. The data used is quantitative data, data collection in this study uses a test sheet as a data collection tool, the test used is a fraction question with the criteria of higher order thinking (High Order Thingking Skill). The results of this study show that students' difficulties in solving HOTS problems on fraction material in class VII vary, there are students who have difficulty understanding concepts, some have difficulty applying principles, and some have difficulty solving verbal problems. Based on data analysis and discussion, 9 out of 30 students (30%) had difficulty answering C4 level questions, 11 out of 30 students (36.66%) had difficulty answering C5 level questions, and 12 out of 30 students (40%) had difficulty answering C6 level questions had difficulty in learning concepts. There were 11 out of 30 students (36.66%) had difficulty answering C4 level questions, 26 out of 30 students (86.66%) had difficulty answering C5 level questions, and 20 out of 30 students (66.66%) had difficulty answering C6 level questions had difficulty in applying rules or principles. There were 13 out of 30 students (43.33%) had difficulty answering C4 level problems, 16 out of 30 students (53.33%) had difficulty answering C5 level problems, and 26 out of 30 students (86.66%) had difficulty answering C6 level problems had difficulty in solving verbal problems.
