Kopi (coffea canephora l.) merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki peran penting bagi perekonomian nasional. viabilitas benih dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kematangan benih. benih yang dipanen saat buah masak fisiologis memiliki kualitas terbaik untuk dijadikan benih. letak buah akan mempengaruhi viabilitas benih yang dihasilkan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kematangan dan letak buah pada cabang terhadap viabilitas benih kopi robusta. penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di laboratorium ilmu dan teknologi benih prodi agroteknologi, fakultas pertanian, universitas syiah kuala banda aceh. penelitian ini telah berlangsung dari februari 2023 sampai april 2023. analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (ral) pola faktorial 3 x 3 dengan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat adanya 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan 27 satuan percobaan, setiap unit perlakuan terdiri atas 25 benih. penelitian ini ada dua faktor, faktor pertama tingkat kematangan buah terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu hijau kemerahan, merah dan merah tua. faktor kedua letak buah pada cabang terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu pangkal, tengah dan ujung. parameter yang diamati yaitu potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, keserempakan tumbuh, kecepatan tumbuh relatif, waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai 50% perkecambahan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tingkat kematangan buah berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter keserempakan tumbuh dan kecepatan tumbuh relatif namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter lainnya. tingkat kematangan buah terhadap viabilitas benih kopi robusta terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan tingkat kematangan buah merah. letak buah pada cabang berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter keserempakan tumbuh dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter kecepatan tumbuh relatif serta tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter lainnya. pengaruh letak buah pada cabang terhadap viabilitas benih kopi robusta terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan letak buah pada cabang ujung. terdapat interaksi yang tidak nyata antara kematangan buah dan letak buah pada cabang terhadap semua parameter.

Coffee (Coffea canephora L.) is a plantation commodity that has an important role in the national economy. Seed viability is influenced by the level of seed maturity. Seeds harvested when the fruit is physiologically ripe have the best quality for use as seeds. The location of the fruit will affect the viability of the seeds produced. This research aims to determine the effect of maturity level and fruit location on the branch on the viability of robusta coffee seeds. This research was carried out at the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. This research took place from February 2023 to April 2023. The data analysis used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a 3 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 replications, so that there were 9 treatment combinations and 27 experimental units, each treatment unit consisting of 25 seeds. There are two factors in this research, the first factor is the level of fruit maturity consisting of 3 levels, namely reddish green, red and dark red. The second factor is the location of the fruit on the branch consisting of 3 levels, namely the base, middle and tip. The parameters observed were maximum growth potential, germination capacity, growth simultaneity, relative growth speed, time required to reach 50% germination. The results showed that the treatment of fruit maturity level had a significant effect on the parameters of growth synchrony and relative growth speed but had no significant effect on other parameters. The level of fruit maturity on the viability of Robusta coffee seeds was best found in the red fruit maturity level treatment. The location of the fruit on the branch has a very significant effect on the growth synchrony parameters and has a significant effect on the relative growth speed parameters and has no significant effect on the other parameters. The effect of the location of the fruit on the branch on the viability of Robusta coffee seeds was best found in the treatment of the location of the fruit on the tip of the branch. There was no significant interaction between fruit maturity and fruit location on the branch for all parameters.
