Abstrak salsabila dahniar (2024). pengaruh model pembelajaran sets (science, environment, technology, society) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas x sma negeri 1 darul imarah kabupaten aceh besar. kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa, dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa akan mampu untuk berpikir secara rasional, reflektif dan sistematis untuk menilai dan membuat keputusan yang tepat dalam pemecahan masalah. dalam proses pembelajaran guru menggunakan model discovery learning akan tetapi sintaks model yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran belum sesuai dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning dan belum dilakukan secara maksimal, hal ini secara tidak langsung mengakibatkan pembelajaran hanya sebatas memahami materi saja tidak dapat membantu siswa untuk melatih dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. sets (science, environment, technology, society) merupakan model pembelajaran yang membuat proses belajar lebih menarik karena siswa diberi kesempatan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan tidak hanya dari buku tetapi dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan, teknologi dan masyarakat. siswa dituntut untuk bernalar dengan memadukan unsur dalam sets untuk menemukan solusi dari permasalahan yang muncul di lingkungan dan melakukan aksi nyata terhadap permasalahan tersebut. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran sets terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas x di sman 1 darul imarah kabupaten aceh besar. jenis penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas x sman 1 darul imarah dengan sampel dua kelas (kelas eksperimen dan kontrol) diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah bentuk tes pilihan ganda dan dokumentasi. hasil pengumpulan data dianalisis menggunakan uji anova, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. berdasarkan hasil analisis data uji hipotesis didapatkan hasil thitung > ttabel, yakni 3,24 > 1,671 dengan taraf signifikan 5% dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran sets (science, environment, technology, society) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas x sma negeri 1 darul imarah kabupaten aceh besar. kata kunci: pengaruh, model pembelajaran, sets, berpikir kritis

The Influence of the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) Learning Model on the Critical Thinking Ability of Class X Students of SMA Negeri 1 Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar Regency. Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities that students must have, with critical thinking skills students will be able to think rationally, reflectively and systematically to assess and make the right decisions in solving problems. In the learning process, teachers use the discovery learning model, but the model syntax applied in learning is not in accordance with the discovery learning learning model and has not been carried out optimally. This indirectly results in learning that is limited to understanding the material and cannot help students to train and develop their abilities. students' critical thinking. SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) is a learning model that makes the learning process more interesting because students are given the opportunity to gain knowledge not only from books but by utilizing the environment, technology and society. Students are required to reason by combining elements in SETS to find solutions to problems that arise in the environment and take real action against these problems. This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of using the SETS learning model on the critical thinking abilities of class X students at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar Regency. This type of research uses a quasi experiment with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was all class The data collection technique used is a multiple choice test and documentation. The results of data collection were analyzed using the ANOVA test, normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test data analysis, the results obtained were tcount > ttable, namely 3.24 > 1.671 with a significance level of 5%, thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) learning model on the critical thinking abilities of class X students.
