Pemaafan adalah keinginan seseorang untuk melepaskan hal-hal negatif, seperti mengurangi kebencian, perasaan dendam, dan sikap menjauhi pelaku dengan menumbuhkan perasaan kasih sayang atau kemurahan hati terhadap pelaku serta keinginan untuk berdamai dengan pelaku. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pemaafan pada perempuan korban perkosaan di banda aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus dan menggunakan purposive sampling jenis typical sample untuk memilih partisipan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu 3 orang perempuan korban perkosaan, serta menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview) untuk pengumpulan data. hasil penelitian ini menemukan proses pemaafan yang berbeda-beda antara ketiga partisipan. di antaranya, dua dari tiga partisipan masih berada di tahap uncovering phase yang mana mereka masih merasakan perasaan marah dan dendam terhadap pelaku, bahkan berkeinginan untuk melakukan balas dendam. sedangkan, partisipan yang lain proses memaafkan sudah berada pada tahap decision phase, yakni perasaan marah dan dendam terhadap pelaku sudah menurun dan mempertimbangkan memberi maaf kepada pelaku. adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi pemaafan ketiga partisipan adalah sosial kognitif, karakteristik serangan, kualitas hubungan interpersonal, dan rumination about transgression. kata kunci: pemaafan, perempuan, perkosaan, banda aceh

Forgiveness is a person's willingness to let go of negativity, such as reducing hatred, feelings of resentment, and avoidance of the perpetrator by increasing feelings of compassion or generosity towards the perpetrator and the willingness to reconcile with the perpetrator. The purpose of this research is to find out how the forgiveness process in women victims of rape in Banda Aceh. This research uses a qualitative case study method and uses purposive sampling to select participants in this study, namely 3 female victims of rape, and uses in-depth interview techniques for data collection. The results of this study found a different forgiveness process between the three participants. Among them, two of the three participants were still in the uncovering phase where they still felt feelings of anger and resentment towards the perpetrator, even wanting to take revenge. Meanwhile, the other participant's forgiveness process is already in the decision phase, where feelings of anger and resentment towards the perpetrator have decreased and will consider forgiving to the perpetrator. The factors that affected the forgiveness of the three participants were social cognitive, offense characteristics, interpersonal relationship quality, and rumination about transgression.
