Prarancangan pabrik beta karoten ini menggunakan bahan baku crude palm oil (cpo). kapasitas produksi pabrik ini adalah 1000 ton/tahun dengan hari kerja 330 hari/tahun. pabrik ini direncanakan didirikan di kawasan industri medan (kim), kecamatan belawan, provinsi sumatera utara dengan luas tanah 13502 m2 . bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah perseroan terbatas (pt) dengan menggunakan metode struktur organisasi garis dan staf (tenaga kerja sebanyak 146 orang). sumber air pabrik ini berasal dari sungai pegatalan, kabupaten belawan, provinsi sumatera utara dengan total kebutuhan air sebesar 44.995,25 kg/jam, dan untuk kebutuhan listrik diperoleh dari perusahaan listrik negara (pln) dan generator dengan daya 2.531,05 kw/jam. hasil analisa ekonomi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut: 1. fixed capital investment (fci) = rp. 818,878,603,039.50 2. working capital investment (wci) = rp. 144,507,988,771.68 3. total capital investment (tci) = rp. 963,386,591,811.18 4. total production cost (tpc) = rp. 4,387,308,532,893.74 5. sales cost (sc) = rp. 4,816,684,445,957.60 6. laba bersih = rp. 322,031,934,797.90 7. pay out time (pot) = 3,08 tahun 8. break event point (bep) = 42,65 % 9. internal rate of return (irr) = 19,93 % 10. rate of return (ror) = 33 %

Betacarotene plant design uses crude palm oil as raw materials. The production capacity of this factory is 1.000 tons/year with 330 working days/year. The location of the factory is planned to be established in Belawan District, North Sumatra Province with a land area of 13502 m2. The planned form of this company is an Incorporated (Inc.) using the line and staff structure method (a workforce of 146 people). The water source for this factory comes from the Pegatalan River, Belawan District, North Sumatra Province with a total water needed is 44.995,25 kg/hour, and for electricity needs it is obtained from the State Electricity Company (PLN) and a generator with a power of 2.531,05 kW/hour.
