Negara indonesia kaya akan sumber daya alam, salah satunya ialah negara penghasil kopi utama di dunia. aceh menduduki peringkat ke-4 penghasil kopi terbanyak. patut diketahui tidak hanya kopi saja, terdapat bahan alami lainnya yang memiliki manfaat dan kandungan antioksidan serta produk unggulan dari aceh yaitu nilam. tujuan penelitian ini melakukan studi gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (gc-ms) pada kombinasi ekstrak cascara pulp kopi arabika gayo 10% dan nilam 1% dari aceh selatan dan akan diidentifikasi senyawa antioksidan, jumlah senyawa antioksidan serta persentase area yang didapatkan. jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental, dimana kombinasi ekstrak cascara pulp 10% dan nilam 1% akan dilakukan pemeriksaan menggunakan metode gas chromatography-mass spectrometry di laboratorium. hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga puluh enam komponen senyawa yang dihasilkan dari kombinasi tersebut, namun yang terdeteksi memiliki aktivitas antioksidan hanya dua belas komponen senyawa yaitu 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-hmf) (23.68%), hexadecanoic acid (cas) palmitic acid (11.40%), caffeine (5.72%), n-hexadecanoic acid (4.07%), quinic acid (3.03%), hexadecanoic acid, 2-hydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)ethyl ester (1.94%), 2-furancarboxaldehyde,5-methyl-(cas)5-methyl-2-furfural (1.74%), 2,3-dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-4h-pyran-4-one (ddmp) (1.49%), patchouli alcohol (1.46%), 2,4-dihydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-3(2h)-furan-3-one (0.91%), orcinol (0.77%) dan 2,3-dihydro-5-hydroxy-6-methyl-4h-pyran-4-one (0.26%). kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah kombinasi ekstrak tersebut memiliki manfaat sebagai antioksidan dan dapat bermanfaat dalam bidang kesehatan terutama dermatologi seperti penggunaan topikal.

Indonesia is one of the world's largest coffee producers, and Aceh is the fourth-largest coffee producer in the country. In addition to coffee, there are other natural ingredients that have antioxidant benefits, such as patchouli, which is a specialty product of Aceh. A study was conducted to identify the antioxidant compounds, the number of antioxidant compounds, and the percentage area obtained from a combination of 10% Arabica Gayo cascara pulp extract and 1% patchouli extract from South Aceh using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method. The study found that thirty six compounds were produced from the combination, but only twelve compounds were detected to have antioxidant activity were 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) (23.68%), hexadecanoic acid (CAS) Palmitic acid (11.40%), caffeine (5.72%), n-hexadecanoic acid (4.07%), QUINIC ACID (3.03%), hexadecanoic acid, 2-hydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)ethyl ester (1.94%), 2-furancarboxaldehyde,5-methyl-(CAS)5-methyl-2-furfural (1.74%), 2,3-Dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one (DDMP) (1.49%), Patchouli alcohol (1.46%), 2,4-Dihydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-3(2H)-furan-3-one (0.91%), Orcinol (0.77%) and 2,3-Dihydro-5-hydroxy-6-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one (0.26%). The conclusion in this study is that the combination of these extracts has benefits as antioxidants and can be beneficial in the field of health, especially dermatology, such as topical use
