Azzahra Sabrina, PENGARUH STABILISASI TANAH CLAY SHALE DENGAN KAPUR TERHADAP NILAI CBR UNSOAKED RN(STUDI KASUS JALAN TOL SIGLI - BANDA ACEH STA 12+400). Banda Aceh Fakultas Teknik,2023

Abstract

The construction of the Sigli – Banda Aceh Toll Road is one of the important infrastructure projects currently being carried out in the Aceh region. Carrying out cut and fill work involves changing the contour of the original land to create surface height according to the toll road construction design. STA 12+400 resulted in landslides in several places. Landslides occur because, beneath the subgrade layer, there is a soft layer that has a low bearing capacity. Soil stabilization uses an additive, namely lime, which aims to change the properties of the soil, reduce the softness of the soil, and increase the soil's bearing capacity. In this study, a lime mixture with percentages of 3%, 6%, 9% and 12% was used. To determine the bearing capacity of clay shale soil, the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test was carried out without immersion (unsoaked) to determine the bearing capacity of the soil/subgrade (subgrade) in dry condition or unsoaked conditions during construction. The test carried out was testing the physical properties and mechanical properties with a mixture of lime percentages. Testing of physical properties consists of testing water content, sieve analysis, specific gravity, and Atterberg limits. Mechanical properties testing consists of compaction and CBR testing. From the CBR test, the original soil yield was 2.67%, at 3% of lime the yield was 3.07%, at 6% of lime the yield was 3.34%, at 9% of lime the yield was 3.66% and at 12% of lime the yield was 4.14%.
