Abstrak fuli pala (myristica fragrans houtt) merupakan salah satu hasil alam dari buah pala yang dapat dijadikan sebagai repellent alami dan berfungsi untuk penolak serangga. populasi dan sampel penelitian ini yaitu fuli pala kering dari kecamatan meukek, kabupaten aceh selatan. bahan ini banyak mengandung metabolit sekunder yang dapat dijadikan sebagai repellent alami seperti kuinon, saponin, alkaloid, triterpenoid, dan flavonoid. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji komposisi dari formulasi lotion repellent dan konsentrasi ekstrak fuli pala yang efektif digunakan sebagai repellent nyamuk. formulasi lotion yang dihasilkan kemudian diuji ph, homogenitas, daya sebar, viskositas, organoleptik, iritasi, dan efektivitas. pengujian efektivitas dilakukan menggunakan nyamuk aedes aegypti betina. hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan ketiga formulasi sediaan lotion ekstrak fuli pala memiliki rentang ph 7-8, bersifat homogen, daya sebar pada rentang 5,3-5,6 cm, viskositas 260,3-321,5 cp, tingkat penerimaan uji organoleptik di atas 50% dan sediaan lotion ekstrak fuli pala konsentrasi 1% paling disukai pada parameter aroma, warna, dan tekstur. hasil uji iritasi menunjukkan bahwa ketiga sediaan lotion tidak mengindikasikan terjadinya iritasi, daya proteksi lotion ekstrak fuli pala konsentrasi 1, 2, dan 3% memiliki nilai efektivitas berturut-turut 73,33, 84,45, dan 88,89%. sediaan lotion dengan konsentrasi ekstrak fuli pala 3% memiliki efektivitas tertinggi sebagai repellent nyamuk, yaitu 88,89% selama waktu pengujian 4 jam. kata kunci: lotion, repellent, fuli pala.



Abstract

ABSTRACT Mace nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt) is one of the natural products of nutmeg which can be used as a natural repellent and functions as an insect repellent. The population and sample of this study were dried nutmeg mace from Meukek District, South Aceh district. This material contains a lot of secondary metabolites that can be used as natural repellents such as quinones, saponins, alkaloids, triterpenoids, and flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to examine the composition of the repellent lotion formulation and the concentration of nutmeg mace extract which is effectively used as a mosquito repellent. The resulting lotion formulation was then tested for pH, homogeneity, spreadability, viscosity, organoleptic, irritation, and effectiveness. Effectiveness testing was carried out using female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The results of the study showed that the three formulations of nutmeg mace extract lotion had a pH range of 7-8, were homogeneous, spreadability was in the range of 5.3-5.6 cm, viscosity was 260.3-321.5 cP, the level of acceptance of the organoleptic test was above 50% and 1% concentration of nutmeg mace extract lotion was the most preferred in terms of aroma, color, and texture parameters. The results of the irritation test showed that the three lotion preparations did not indicate irritation, the protective power of mace mace extract lotion concentrations of 1, 2, and 3% had effectiveness values of 24.44, 56.67, and 72.22%, respectively. Lotion preparations with a concentration of 3% mace extract had the highest effectiveness as a mosquito repellent, namely 72.22% during the 4 hour test time. Keyword : Lotion, repellent, mace
