Sejak teknologi berkembang pesat, segala bentuk informasi menjadi mudah diakses. dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya pengajaran bahasa inggris, teknologi memberikan wawasan baru dalam proses belajar mengajar. pemanfaatan media teknologi, seperti video, dalam kelas bahasa inggris dinilai sebagai cara yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa. oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh video blogging dalam pengajaran berbicara dan tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan video blogging dalam pembelajaran berbicara. penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terdiri dari 35 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 35 siswa kelompok kontrol di man 1 aceh barat. data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes berbicara dan kuesioner. tes berbicara dirancang dengan menggunakan kategori penilaian kemahiran berbicara brown (2001) dan kuesionernya diadaptasi dari mandasari dan aminatun (2019). data yang terkumpul dari pre-test dan post-test dianalisis menggunakan spss statistics ibm versi 26.0 untuk mengetahui hasil uji independen sample t-test. temuan dari analisis tersebut menyajikan bukti statistik bahwa video blogging efektif dalam mengajarkan keterampilan berbicara. data hasil angket dianalisis untuk mengetahui persentase jawaban siswa. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki pandangan positif terhadap penggunaan video blogging dalam pembelajaran berbicara.

Abstract
Since technology has advanced rapidly, all forms of information have become easily accessible. In education, specifically in English language teaching, technology provides new sights in teaching and learning. The utilization of technological media, such as video, in English classes is considered as a proper way to enhance students' speaking proficiency. Therefore, this study was intended to investigate the effect of video blogging in teaching speaking and the students’ responses toward the use of video blogging in learning speaking. The study used an experimental research design involving two groups of control and experimental groups. The sample chosen by using a random sampling technique consisted of 35 students in the experimental group and 35 students in the control group at MAN 1 Aceh Barat. The data were collected by using speaking tests and questionnaires. The speaking tests were designed by utilizing Brown’s (2001) speaking proficiency scoring categories and the questionnaire was adapted from Mandasari and Aminatun (2019). The collected data from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed by using SPSS Statistics IBM version 26.0 to find out the result of the independent sample t-test. The findings from the analysis presented statistical evidence that video blogging was effective in teaching speaking skill. The data from the questionnaire were analyzed to find out the percentage of the students’ answers. The research result shows that the students have positive views toward the use of video blogging in learning speaking.
